do you think there was a way to get him killed without having to ramp him out  (got alot of digging elsewhere atm and my marksmen cant reach him) or will it just wander off sometimes

I'd assume you'd have used magma already, but I simply can't.

Just apply some magma.

Why isn't 'ignore him' a viable option?

i dont like the siege sign at the top window :)

i now decided to create an artificial cavein next to him maybe  breaking the riverground sucking him in :)

I agree. Whats up with the necessity to kill the bugger?

Aaaah, the siege sign. Fair enough!

Build a floor tile above him and drop it on him.

i take it this is the outflow of the river and the actual level is about 4-5, hence why he doesnt drown? or did toady fix that?

The humanity is so brutal... they can kill a poor innocent creature in a surely painful and excruciating way just to get rid of those 7 tiles at the top of the screen!

Oops, forgot that this is Bay12 forum. I take my words back.

Sometimes the outfolw of a river can drop down to as low as 1 or 2, in which case the gobbo is perfectly happy sat there.

Oh, and will another siege arrive if there's on already...?  8)

I think it's the way towns develop now. In the beginning, people move into a town. Then they start producing tables, which results in more and more tables. Soon tables represent a significant portion of the population, they start lobbying for new laws and regulations, putting people to greater and greater disadvantage...
Link for full quote. 'tis mighty funny.

strange enough its the inflow .. when i take the water currents as indicator ...

well after i built a nice and high enough item to drop onto him he did the towelie ... he supposedly got high and sortoff wandered off...

dissappointment that is

it seems he was fleeing when another big megasiege appeared or rather was disappeared (50 dark stranglers vs 60 goblins+10 trolls vs 14 dwarfes) and the battle just next to the spot where he was stuck ended in a giant bloodshed  (imagine 3 parties hacking each other ..)

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

so end of the story .. the invincible one has gone .. maybe to return as a warlord of the goblins

Construct a gigantic stair to 30+ levels above the goblin.

Then build an airbone kitten reservoir, following the outline of the river. Add-in some noble levers, and lure the purple fuckers in.
Collapse.
