I need to do my research next time

Well a titan came over to my dorffort to say hello...naturally I was unsure what to do, as I had not trained my military yet (in addition to constructing a 500k planepacked-style quern). I tried throwing my emergency militia at it, who ended up losing two dwarves and then chasing the stupid giant humanoid with two heads around. I reloaded the save, and this time just had everyone hide in fear. This worked much better, as I didn't realize that it didn't avoid traps and it promptly got caught and went from "uninvited guest" to "caged guest".

I guess the moral of the story is research or something?

Do all titans not avoid traps or only some?

True megabeasts-- titans, colossi, dragons, FBs, and clowns-- have TRAPAVOID, if I remember correctly. What you caught might have been an ettin or a giant, a "semi-megabeast".

Can you find its description?

Colossi and hydras don't trapavoid, and I don't think dragons do either. Genned creatures like Titans and FBs do. Clowns definitely do.

I wouldn't consider FBs, Titans, and clowns "megabeasts." They're more like a seperate, third tier.
