I would try laying down (d)ropping the water out of your bag on the tile you're on and crawling back and forth on it. Note, I have never tried this.

Also, instead of a waterskin, get a bag and (I)nteract with it and fill it with water. It will hold 100 units, adventurers drink an absurd amount of water.

Pray for rain basically, can't do much with a waterskin, though if you empty it out and go prone you can get covered in water. No real idea if it helps.

It's not a bug. How else is the game supposed to know you want to go through the hatch and not on it?

Press ? and choose Key Bindings to see more ways to move. (In this case ctrl+move is easier.)

Gotta find something else - most birds are too small to be butcherable.

This also makes you utterly helpless to the point where you've probably already been eaten by whatever webbed you.

I gave my stalwart dwarven manservant a figurine of himself that I carved.

He won't put it down, and therefore will not use any of his actual weapons in combat. He just tries to bludgeon things with his new toy. he also won't give it back.

How do I get him to stop playing with his action figures in the middle of fights.

The best way to get NPCs to hold the right things is to trade clothing/armor. That way you'll get back that figurine, and he'll go back to using weapons, and discard what for him will be duplicate clothing.

If you want him to carry this figurine in a non-handheld way you'll need to give him a quiver or a backpack. Then everything you give him will go into that pack. Be forewarned tho, that makes it harder to hand him weapons/shields he drops, as you'd need to repeat the trade process to take back the container item (pack/quiver), and hand him his items once again.
