Yeah there is a delay, since people actually move around the world now (and rumors get spread about that), so someone might say oh this person is in this place, but that is where they were while ago and since then they have moved to another site.

Also, uh, how do I join an insurrection? I met some folks saying they were on a mission, and I asked them about troubles and was told there is an insurrection going on in a nearby city. Nothing's going down there though...

Edit: And how would I go about joining other people's performances?

I got my broken finger infected. Will it cure over time? Should I be worried? I've spend quite some time will this adventurer.

EDIT: Also do smashed apart injuries heal? I got my ear smashed apart and it's been a few days now. (It's unrelated to the finger infection)

Not sure how it works in the latest version, but in earlier versions infections have pretty much been death sentences. As for injuries - anything that doesn't heal when you enter fast travel or wait/sleep will never heal afaik.

In 42.01, I am having trouble fining places that sell anything. I am running low on food because I rarely find animals wandering about, and the one tavern I did manage to find when I talk to the Goblin Tavern Keeper, he says "I don't work here."

Beyond that one tavern I haven't found any stores at all. Any advice?

Human towns/cities are full of shops.

Hmm, I've found a few that don't seem to have any. Just a keep with a lord and a few houses. I'll keep looking.

Also, I found a Shadow Ogre Mate, which was a goblin. I butchered it and got a lot of meat and prepared organs but I can't eat them. Is it because it's a sapient creature? I'm a Tigerman and you'd think I wouldn't have a problem eating some goblin, but maybe I'm more cultured than I thought I was.

So how can I make sure a smashed body part doesn't get infected? I got ear infection as well after a while, even though I kept dipping in rivers daily.

Look for + signs  on the large world map those are towns and cities. The villages with keeps and houses are hamlets.
Also how old is the world? If it is young the economy of your human civ may not be developed yet play fort mode for awhile and shops will start being built .. (Towns and cities develop as populations go up they don't start with shops)

yes, you need an empty scroll/papyrus/book to write

As I suspected. Hmm. Maybe I'll have to add a reaction to test it, as I've yet to find any libraries or paper in general.

What text color are libraries when viewing the building/feature list on fast travel? Mead halls are purple, taverns are brownish, temples are cyan...
