Is there a way to generate a world with a huge amount of wild animals? I tried high savagery but that led to more goblins and still no animals. Also is there a way to edit my characters skills? Just to eliminate the 20 minutes spent throwing rocks at the start of my adventures. EDIT: MORE QUESTIONS! How do I find wild animals that I've been told to kill. Also how does the compass in the top left work? I headed west for days but never found anything. ALSO! I killed a vampire but she had no blood on her and there was none on me. Can I still drink her blood somehow?
EDIT: GUESS WHO HAS ANOTHER QUESTION
I accepted another question to kill a vamp and I've travelled to the keep but it's just full of military men that aren't the vampire I'm searching for.

Goblins can play as adventurers fine.  However, if your civ is at war with them then  . . .

Question regarding world Ages: http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2012:Calendar#Ages do animated creatures count the same way as vampires, werebeasts, necromancers and megabeasts?

The only way to do that right now is with DFhack's adv-fort thingymabob. I, for one, have no idea how it works, so you may have to head over to the DFhack thread in the modding subforum.

This might be a obvious question but....
Is there any possible way to tame animals in adventure mode?
Couldn't find any info about the topic when I searched for it on the forums.

That also isn't possible at the moment. Maybe some years from now, though. Again though, my best suggestion is to look into the adv-fort script for DFhack.

Well I have another question.
When I animate corpse as a necromancer they attack me?
Do I still need to become a night creature?

Sounds like you should raise a zombie then, see if it attacks you.  You are faster than it, right?

Not naturally, no.  I think you can DF hack it or someother, but I don't do those.

However, they may respawn if you go back to where you got him.

As far I know they fill the quiver when we travel, well... That or no crossbowman ever survived engouh to empty their quivers during my adventures...
