Into the pool itself, always. I just realised that I had suffered some new bruising to one of my legs the second time, but that and the fact that the second time was at dawn were the only differences.

Is there some weight/armour threshold at which you can't swim successfully anymore? Playing as a human, i've never had problems with jumping into pools and swimming, but now I've done the same and it says that i'm drowning. I've suffered no additional injuries, and I can't use ALT-direction to get out. My adventurer -is- tired, from strangling a horse: Perhaps that's what's stopping him from swimming?
Does anyone have a better idea of how swimming actually works? :3
Maybe you were trying to climb out into a square that wouldn't allow it, since it was occupied by a tree?

Are bogeymen infinite? I read in the wiki that they are generated on world creation, so that lead me to believe their numbers were finite.

Also why do companions sometimes just vanish?

And how come a freaking bogeyman can punch a god like adventurer with superhuman strength, endurance and toughness clad in full iron plate armor to death?

Seriously I'm considering hunting every single bogeyman down if their number are indeed finite after that, I'm still trying to understand how the eff something can punch through full iron plate armor with it's bare fists, not break every single bone in their hands and still do significant damage, oh so cheap.... it's was not even my fault, my stupid companions just effin vanished for some reason and there was no settlement nearby, also I had already killed dozens of bogeymen before that.... man I'm just so effin pist off right now...

Bogeymen are infinite.

If you fast travel after resting, they'll still be stunned and can't join you.

Because bogeymen are OP.

Bogeymen are infinite.

Damn! I was really hoping to get back at them.

If you fast travel after resting, they'll still be stunned and can't join you.

Does this happen as well when sleeping while still on the fast travel map?

Because bogeymen are OP.

Sounds like that should be changed then, I don't care how strong they are, it's completely unrealistic, a little creature punching iron plate armor should be deflected 100% of the time and even get some bruising or broken bones because of it.

I don't know about sleeping on the fast travel map making them vanish, but it's the most likely cause.

As for them being OP, there's a reason people warn you not to go out alone :P

Had a lucky start on my dorf: steel warhammer with steel shield :D
But I found a silver warhammer. Is it better than the steel one? I get lost on the whole materials, all I know is steel is great but I see people talking about silver's density being really high so... halp!  ;)

Yeah, I remember reading that silver is much better for blunt weapons than steel. The only better materials for hammers are lead and platinum, though they can only be made via strange mood.

How exactly does building a fortress in fortress mode will influence adventurer mode in the same world after said fortress demise/abandoning?

For example, if I make lots of steel armor and weapons and trade them with someone will I start seeing those pieces for sale on towns afterwards in adventurer mode?

Not yet, but the next update should include that.

For now, anything you make in a fortress will still be there when you abandon.

I cant exactly figure out how to jump off a cliff, or in general. Itd also help if i knew how to fly with characters who have the ability too.

alt+move allows you to jump over cliffs and such, with flying adventurers you should use < to fly up.
