He deserved it less and the campaign was a lot more innocent then "Harassing him" and yet he did actually recieve a bit of harassment.

Just scale it up and you get something quite a bit worse.

Especially since I think the legal options of PETITIONING THE LAWS TO CHANGE TO MAKE THIS ILLEGAL is more likely to succeed and LESS likely to backfire then harassing everyone involved and illegally stalking minors.

Well you got a society based less off of actually raising your children with a strong counter culture that because of the parent's uninvolvement is mostly unregulated and unfiltered.

Jack Thompson was a class-action asshole, and probably needed someone to do more than "quite a bit of harassment" to him. A slug in the face would've been great. That guy was fighting pop culture, which, derives it's name from popular, and would be expected to receive backlash from being a dipshit.

The recommendations were less than glowing. They were along the lines of "I probably would have died if not for going there, but I still have horrific nightmares about it." Doesn't seem like brainwashing.

By the way: not so sure about informing parents.  Are there any like... human rights bodies you can contact?  Papers you can write to?  Local representatives who are relevant?

Well you got a large group of unregulated individuals and your asking them to do illegal activities (Stalking, public disturbance, harassment)

I am not talking about the writting campaign here or the Denial of Service attack (which I am against but not arguing against)... I am talking about someone's suggestion to actively stalk the parents through the child.

All I mean is that unregulated harassment especially with an outraged group of anominous people is a bad idea. It is asking for unwanted elements and any unfortunate event that is caused by this should be SO expected that it should be no surprise.
