They said harassment

A few phonecalls is hardly harassment.

Also the definition of troll isn't: Someone who disagrees
So... rape and torture = good, harrassment = bad?

I am not saying that

I am saying that starting a campaign based on active harassment with an unregulated unknown group of outraged individuals is going to backfire.

If it is just a bunch of phonecalls, then fine (assuming they arn't those... other kinds). I don't expect that to harm anyone. Letters fine...

Show up at that parents workplace and scream at them (common practice)... I can see bad things happening. Any situation that involved a lot of physically showing up and harassing the parents is where I see problems.
Please tell me where we used the word "harass". Yes, showing up at their workplace like that is over the top, that's at least one clear point I can agree with you on.

Well what you want to do is get the school closed through legal means without accepting deals behind closed curtains (not the correct term... uhh Out of court settlements)

That way you create precident that will make it easier to close other schools of this type.

It is one of the reasons why many buisnesses accept deals behind the scenes (I forgot the correct term... the legal kind).

No offense either, CoD, but do you think it's any better to sit on the side and make generalized, passive comments about the apathy of others?
Yeah I guess I'm not really helping here.

There are alot of these, this is just one of them. Look for one in your local area to help. You would probably have better chances then.

What about local politicians? Surely somebody would take this and run with it, especially opposition?

Actually, all striking one place at once could be better.

If you think about successful campaigns (in, say, Civil Rights), they're generally more targeted.

I actually know someone who went to a facility in Utah.  Might be able to get some information...

These places generally only exist, with few exceptions, in highly conservative districts where the locals are disturbingly pro-child torture. If you don't think such a district can exist, you haven't seen Kanab, Utah

So places where schools are still allowed to use the punishment boards? (I don't know their exact name... The Paddle?)

Followed the link about Judge Rotenberg Center... glanced at it... first thing I noticed was mention of autistics.

My brother is autistic and has kept his ear to autistic rights for years.  I've heard lots of rumors from him about facilities and care centers autistic children are sent to where they're treated less than human.  Hell, public understanding of autism is so low, they're treated less than human in most public schools.

This looks like a good source. This is a bill to protect students. Senator Chris Dodd of Connecticut proposed it, perhaps he could be useful?

Ah, S. 911's reincarnation. Good luck getting anything like that past the filibuster-happy. The GAO's related investigation did damage to recruitment by itself, but Congress isn't moved by such nebulous things as facts.

I actually know someone who went to a facility in Utah.  Might be able to get some information...

At least a third of them are in Utah. It's not a coincidence.
The Mormons are in Utah too. I'm not saying anything, because that's literally all I know about Utah aside from salt lakes and it's box shape.

I know I've heard of Mormon Enclaves where teenage girls are forced into marraiges with adult men, but I don't know that much about it, or if it's true. I really hope it isn't true.

It's true. Although it isn't openly sanctioned by the main Mormon church.

Though it used to be. Same with polygamy.
