Don't patronise me, please. :'(

:) Actually, you've been pretty inspirational, and yesterday I laid my hands on a few pieces that I thought I wouldn't ever play.

Also, I'm a bit sleep-deprived, so I wonder, if you did a symphonic tribute to Nirvana what songs you would include, assuming, of course, you like Nirvana.

Im sorry, I didnt mean to sound patronizing. I was more trying to encourage you and let you know that it just takes time.

As for the Nirvana thing, I havent listened to them in probably 10 years or so, and as such I cant remember many names of songs.  I used to have a Pantera Melodoy dedicated to Dimebag, where I wrote an entire song using only Pantera riffs. You could try something similar. :)

Edit: And I am glad I could inspire you. :)

That was a joke. :)

Well, not only riffs, unless it fits the tune very well. Or... yeah, Nirvana's riffs are quite short and simple, so the tribute could feature one riff from a song, to not be very repetitive.

You don't know how glad I am! :)

I just finished recording a song I wrote a little while back. Its un-mastered, not eq'd or anything like that yet, I have a friend in Cali that does it for me. But for those who are interested, here is a link:

I play the guitar a little, sing a little.

To Grishnak: I didn't like the guitar sound very much in that last song. Too trebleish for my liking. I had problems getting the rythm in the first riff, if it had had drums, it would've been fine. It was pretty good overall.

I used to play guitar, but I never enjoyed it and although I was better than anyone in my school the passion just wasn't there. After about six years I quit and started drumming, which I love!

Yeah, I have still yet to find a sound that I really like for my guitar during recording. The silly thing is, I think this sound was too muddy, and didnt have enough highs, haha. But, after I add basslines, drums and eq it, there wont be the problem with too much treble, if I can manage to add all of that stuff. I have a friend working on the bass lines since he is a better bassist than I am and I KIND of have some ideas for drums, but they are pretty terrible to be completely honest, Im not a drummer. :P The rhythm for the first riff is really simple, its just  0-000-0-0-0- then the fall, but its just pretty fast (atleast that gallop is). It was also recorded to a metronome at 160 bpm.

And I just listened to your Gorgoroth song, and I can see why you think there is too much trebble in mine, you have a lot of lows in your guitar, which is fine if you dont plan on adding bass to the song since it helps to fill out the over all sound. If you plan on adding a bass track, and your guitars have a lot of bass as well, the over all sound gets very muddy. Its essentially the bass's job to add all of the low end to the track.

The quality of your track is pretty nice, how did you do the recording? I also like the leads that you do, they fit really well and arent over bearing. :)

Yeah I know my sounds are a bit much on the low-end, because I usually don't add bass tracks (though I should start doing that). I use ezDrummer Drumkit From Hell pack for the drums, Amplitube 3 for the guitars and record an Epiphone Explorer straight through a Soundblaster Live24 (or sth). I think I haven't hit the ceiling of quality with such lo-fi equipment yet, but I'm damn close to it. My idol is Ola Englund, a real guitar sound guru.http://www.youtube.com/user/fearedse. I think you'd like his music too, I know I do.

I play guitar/bass/keyboards/drums though not to any technical level.  I much prefer musical composition to playing an instrument.  I mostly just write midi metal.  My main influences include Doom, Doom 2, and Duke Nukem 3D.  http://www.myspace.com/sentientdeth

I play guitar. Les Paul Standard, and I've got some cheap ass acoustic guitar I can't be arsed to remember the name of. I'm taking lessons to improve, but right now probably my most advanced songs I can play are Mr. Jones (Counting Crows) and this one called Europa on a really lucky day.

I play bass in a band with some friends, sort of a bluesy rock, using a modded Squier P-bass thru an SWR Redhead

Been playing bass about two or three years, and I have a nice Fender Jazz and a decent Ashdown amp. I'm looking to join a band when I get to uni, but currently I'm just practising an awful lot - not at the moment, because I feel incredibly shitty :<

I've been playing guitar for 2-3 years now, with a few lessons but 95% of what I know at this point I have learned from tabs, the occasional video and practice. I mostly play acoustic. For Christmas I got a Taylor 110, it's very nice :D. As for electric my dad gave me his B.C. Rich Mockingbird a while back. So nice guitars but my amps are just a couple of 15-20 watt Peavey's. One from Goodwill, the other is one we've had for a long time. But like I said I don't play much electric (though I'm going to get into it more).

For those in search of good classical tabs, this website is a godsend http://www.classtab.org/

On a personal note, yes, yes I do play Guitar.

Am I any good? Barely.

Been playing a couple of years, but I just like to hear the sounds, as opposed to playing anything, bwuha. Try as I might, I seem to know only half of each song i've learned, and I'm just not finding any decent material to learn chords from. I see them on paper, I play them, and they sound very, very wrong. :|

Damn Leftie.

Damn jews.
