Thanks, Urist. Also, this is a bit off topic(somewhat) but, uh...

How do I equip items? I have a bronze shield that I have equipped and then I have an iron shield, but I don't know how to equip the iron one.

press p to put away an item, which is in your hand. Scroll til you see the bronze shield and then press the corresponding letter.
Then press r(emove) to remove an item out of your container, with the container being a backpack or bag, then find the iron shield and youll remove the iron shield and put it in your hand.

Alright, thanks again. And one final question! I died, so I went ahead and made a new character and I pretty much have every attribute on Very Low except for strength, agility, toughness, endurance, recuperation, disease resistance, willpower, and kinesthetic sense. Am I doing it right?

That should work, although focus and intuition may help.  I think that focus plays a part in ranged combat and intuition is related to the observer skill.  I'm not sure that those skills do anything, but I usually keep them at least up at average.

I don't plan on doing ranged combat, and observer is just for spotting stealth things. I think.

Patience helps with combat, although I'm not sure in what way.

I'm doing that, and when I remove the item and then press i, it isn't showing it as in my hand.

I'm not exploiting anything... I don't think.

who are you to say what people do in their own singleplayer game? Besides, you said yourself that you cheat too.
Besides, its not cheating, its a basic game mechanic to equip an item...

snip

I'm doing that, and when I remove the item and then press i, it isn't showing it as in my hand.
press "p" and look for it, you should be able to find it. I shows more stuff and is harder to find your weapons.

I did exactly what you said and it doesn't work. I put my bronze shield in a container and then I removed an iron shield. It still doesn't say it is in my right hand. (My axe is in my left)

Very odd. Try dropping your iron shield and picking it up, while having your right hand empty. If that doesn't work your missing your right hand :P
