Added.

For sure. When being chased by a zombie, most people will see a table and think, "I need to run around that", but you? You can do an awesome slide right under the table, or quickly jump up and run atop the surface.

Crisis averted.

The Hub, eh?
That'll have to wait.
Free Actions:
Some music while you read the actions.
Turn all power systems on.
Gather insulation from sub-basement, bring tools to cafeteria from sub-basement.
Grab two defibrillators from the ICU.
Remove Two PA speakers from the Lobby.
Grab four chairs.
Pull six fluorescent light housings (with accompanying bulbs) from the ceiling of the cafeteria (or lobby if lighting becomes an issue.)
Remove one bar from barricade composed of bed pieces.
Remove and splice together enough cord from the machines in the ICU (preferably leave one of each machine fully intact at the very least) into two 20 foot long cords.

Day Action:
Build shock baton from defibrillator parts, insulation, and metal bar.
Build two attention getting devices from lights, PA speakers, chairs, and cords. (Need to have on on/off switch) [going to postpone installing until day of turn 5] (I plan to power the devices using the wall plugs.)
Lastly, before nightfall, shut down power to every floor above 5.
Night Action:
Take one civilian, and ride the elevator to floor 5, spend the night reading any information on the infected and the events that transpired prior to total outbreak. Tell the other guy to watch the security monitors. Use the PA system to inform the denizens of the hospital of your location, as well as of any zombies that may be moving about in as of yet unexplored places.

Several changes made. I veto use of the water main shitbreaker.

No one's suggested flooding the basement & sub-basement levels this turn. But I'll keep your opinion in mind.

Take one civilian, and ride the elevator to floor 5, reassemble the equipment while talking to self about how whoever did this is a fucking idiot.

What are you talking about? Hastur may have built the barricades using the desks that the computers & phones were resting on, but he also spent his day "unplugging and reconnecting electronic equipment"

Did you want to deconstruct the STRONG barricades?  :-\

"Sir as a police officer, I need you to calm down! We have other civilians in the building, and we need you to help us protect them!

I think he's probably like the hospital manager, or perhaps an accountant. Security guard also works.

Hospital director is correct!

Using your skills of deduction, you figure out that this man is the hospital director. By appealing to his sense of authority, you convince him to do the right thing: to put aside his griefs and follow his sense of duty. Your plan is a rousing success (roll: 6+1). Within moments, he calms down visibly. He explains that he is on the 8th Floor in the director's office. He slips you the unloaded gun, the bullets, and a high security key card through the grill in the vent.

For successfully resolving a dangerous situation and saving this man's life, you gain +10 to your personal score. Once the hospital director is successfully evacuated, he will give +20 to Team Score as per normal rules.

You gain an additional firearm, and an extra 8 rounds (you now have 20 rounds for your weapon). You may give the (unloaded) firearm to someone with the appropriate firearms expertise. Besides yourself, currently, only Lozz (player: Kashyyk) has the necessary expertise to handle the gun.

If no one on your team has the appropriate expertise, a willing student may also spend 1 AP to receive weapons training from you, provided you are willing to train them, of course!

Sorry.

Post modified accordingly.

I'm afraid I'm not really enjoying this. my character is now open to anyone who wants to take him.

I'm sorry to hear that Eagle :(; if you'd like to pass on your character, that's fine by me. If not, I'll just let him board the helicopter and live happily ever after (whatever the equivalent of "happily ever after" is post zombie apocalypse).

Thanks for your participation while it lasted.  :)

Whoo successful mission is successful!

In any case, can I let him out this turn, so he's not locked alone in there? free action or something? Also, did anyone go back to help the lady?

Yep. I'll include letting him out as a free action. He's the one who locked himself in the office in the first place, so he'll just walk out and report to the Cafeteria level. Yeah, Jimi decided to take the risky roll; the lady in the apartment jumped down and he caught her. Got extra points for it too :D Looks like you are all on a string of good rolls. :)

Did you want to hold onto both guns? Or do you want to give someone the spare handgun?

I'll give her the spare handgun and 5 bullets. That'll let her take out quite a few zombies, while letting me gain something from this. Besides, wielding guns akimbo is not exactly my style. Even if it would be badass.

yay! :D  Now I need to add combat rules in for having a gun >.<

If I do end up retreating, can I make a retroactive decision, cos otherwise it's gonna get real complicated.

Yep; I'll let you do that! It'll save me a headache. Besides, you only have 5 bullets. (If only you had 6, you could (potentially) fire off the maximum number of shots in one round :P)

Turn will be posted December 4th. PMs were sent out to Hastur, Dwarmin, and Thatdude. Turns have mostly been written up for those players who already submitted their turns.
