Crawling is not fun

Hey guys

I am aware that in fortress mode crutches are useless. Are they useless in Adventure mode as well? If not, how do I equip one? The wiki didnt help me there.

Surprisingly simple... i feel dumb now
Guess my Lasher wont be using a shield anymore! Should be Fun!

(r)emove it from you backpack, now you have a shield, crutch, and whip in your hands. Reapeat until just before you think this is absurd. Also, watch your speed.

like quadrupole wield and 6 shields, doesn't seem absurd to me... After all dwarves defy !Physics!.

Just tried it. More crutches does not improve speed. This is a sad day for !!SCIENCE!!

...ok so having multiple crutches doesn't increase speed... But does it increase the rate at which you gain the crutch using skill?

I tested, and it doesn't. You've got a lot of walking ahead of you to train up that skill. ;)

I've gone adventuring with a crippled dwarf. it wasn't that bad. Managed to maul some dwarves and kill off some bounties with my orc troops, before a goblin ambushed destroyed us all.
