If the suspect turns out innocent, the crime is looked over and it is decided nothing happened. The only suspect is the one in court. It will be like nothing ever happened if they turn out innocent.

After three dates, he had gotten me a beautiful necklace with fake diamonds. Of course, I didn’t care they were fake, because the gift was the nicest thing anyone had ever done. “

“He proposed to me just one month ago, at the movie theater. He had everything planned out perfectly. The lights, the sounds, and everything. The diamond ring, real this time, was almost so bright that I could hardly look at it. I doubt I could have said no even if I wanted to.”

“Steve does have some enemies, but most are from childhood pranks. He said he would do things like throw water balloons and random people passing by. One time he says he accidentally hit a police officer, and got in some serious trouble at home. So, I will admit he is a slight troublemaker, but I won’t ever think he could be a criminal type."

That doesn't make a lot of sense. Nobody's going to get arrested in the courtroom, sure, but the stolen jewelry won't magically reappear in the store, and depending on how much the jewelry was worth the police are likely to try and find another suspect. Doesn't matter much for the game, though.

That doesn't make a lot of sense. Nobody's going to get arrested in the courtroom, sure, but the stolen jewelry won't magically reappear in the store, and depending on how much the jewelry was worth the police are likely to try and find another suspect. Doesn't matter much for the game, though.
