Horse breeding, extremely minor bug.

Just so ya know, pets breed with all female populations. Horses are easiest but it seems to work with dogs too.

Unless... one of the mules or cows...

Nevermind, don't want to think about it.

Was this after a human caravan appeared?  They bring male horses often-times.  I'm not sure if it works with caged animals they bring to sell as well.  Life will...  find a.. . way...
