Sturgeon.

My most recent adventurer, who was legendary in most combat skills, and had near legendary stats, got torn to bloody shreds by a school of them when I fell into a river. This was despite not engaging them in melee till I had thrown 200+ arrows and bolts into their midst as well as all my backup swords and axes.

Sure, I wouldn't see one and run for my life, but I'd always be wary around them.

I used to think wamblers were bunnies. But apparently they're actually tiny humanoids, which I actually think is kind of creepy.

Skeletal Elephants, they are bitches, but, what about skeletal carp riding skeletal sharks riding skeletal elephants?
DF would be like "Tum te tume te, WTF? 3 skeletal animals?! ALL RIDING EACH OTHER?! BOOM!

But really, the Giant Desert Scorpions are fairly scary. Can't be stunned. Fears nothing. Feels no pain. Not to mention the neurotoxin...

....They just refuse to stay down unless butchered, in which case their skins will haunt you until you subdue and tan them. Never has legendary butcher and legendary tanner seemed so valueable as in this release.
