Gun Sword

Im new to modding and im not exactly how this works and was wondering for help or advice on how to fix it
The problem is that while the gunswords in the game for some reason when I go to fire it says "You have nothing left to fire!" But I have the bullet withen my pack (Tested in arena)

EDIT:And for the heck of it ill share my tower shield as well :P

Note: You should mod it to be 2-handed (and much bigger if its small, honestly I don't know much about modding size.)

Reactions? Nah, there's no need for that for a gunsword, it's even easier than it used to be thanks to the .17/.18 release, with different attack options in the RAWs and all that jazz. I modded something similar back in the first 2010 releases, just never put it out there. In fact, I'm going a lancer-type deal (Gears of War II lancer, that is, not the crappy Mass Effect one) in the Total Conversion Mod I'm doing xD

And by the way it IS modded to only be two-handed. Minimum size is the minimum size required to wield it, two_handed is the minimum size for it to not have to be wielded MULTIGRASP, so it's a bit of a misnomer. When two_handed is set to zero, it makes it function that it is ALWAYS two-handed no matter the creature size.

Anyway, yeh, nice concept man. Thinking outside the box and grabbing some gold; always better than going vanilla. :P

Erm... Thanks I guess?, The weapon code is up for grabs for what ever you need with it, Im just happy I was able to add it into my game to both slash and shoot the crap out of things :P

EDIT2: Also feel free to use the concept as well.... I really don't mind im nowhere in leauge to make a complete overhall and just reacently started modding...

It's more like a pistol-sword, but yeah, it's a neat concept. It's almost the same as combat pistols in wasteland mod: they are basically large knife + pistol (and they are made in the same way through a reaction), because with blunt "pistols" (with DF superior melee system which allows targeted strikes) ranged guys are too weak in comparison to melee guys.

Yeah I guess it could be, But with mine I imagined that it would have the blades along the side of the barrel, With the tips of both meeting the end of the barrel (In the middle) Then a sort of gun butt for the hilt doing the "Bash" Dammage, With a wood trigger of some sort to press and realse the bullet. But yeah basically same concept, Also so in fortress mode when Urist McDon'tHaveAmmo Runs out hes not as useless as it would be... But yeah... It is more effective in adventure mode.

EDIT:Perhaps I should also add slap dammage for the sides of the blades :P?

Also, I plan on making my DF modded for guns. I would like it better if it didn't use every day bullets. Perhaps exploding ones?  :P

Edit: I put it in the game, but the weapon (or the ammo) apper in stores. How do I fix this?
