You guys are being to hasty. How do you know that he is a vicious and terrible creautre? Did you ever stop to consider that he is, perhaps,  a GENTLEMAN of the Night? He is welcoming you as his neighbors, and yet you are already plotting to kill him or seal him inside his home!

Are you kidding with the crossbows?! You have a neighbor and friend! Dig above, make a pit drop and feed him all your goblin visitors--it's a readymade arena complete with pre-scattered bodypart. Plus for Science check if he turns any goblins into himself, nightcreatures do that.

Now you are thinking with SCIENCE!

I always imagine dwarves to train as if fighting pretend monsters. "It's a carp, use your sword!" "Shwish! Shwoosh! It's dead!" "Oh no, it's a giant cave spider! Noo, it's got me! Kill it with your axe!" "Swoosh, I cut off its head!"

Something like this happened to me on my first embark after installing .18.

As soon as I embarked I recieved a pop up message announcing that I had found a Shrine.
About half way across the map to the east was a square structure of marble floor with pillars going up to 5 Z levels high. Scattered around the floor were corpses of Elves and Dwarves along with some coins and other junk.

Sitting merrily in the centre of it all was a Marsh Titan who was listed as the Current Resident like on your embark.
It seemed quite content to stay within the confines of this shrine while I hastily burrowed down and built walls around my compound.

I had my first two compulsory migrant waves and first Dwarf Caravan without incident though it seems that the Titan ganked one of the caravan guards as they left.

A short while later it spotted a Kobold thief who decided to train it right past my fortress just as I was putting a roof over my compound, unfortunately for me it could fly and it came over my walls and wiped out everyone.  :o

It was actually quite fun trying to get going never knowing whether I would make it or not, constantly scrolling over to keep an eye on it, I guess it was inevitable in the end though. :)

1. play fort till megabeasts start attacking

2. capture dragon in cage trap

3. organize dragon vs night man arena fight in his house via channel in the roof

4. profit!

One flaw in the plan. . .
The dragon's fire will set the door and table on fire.

Build a shrine around him and seal it up, so that eons from now, cyberdwarf archeologists will learn to fear what lies beneath the earth once again.

Just stab him in the pancreas, he goes down easy enough... when you are a demigod.

The entire content consists of senseless murder, a pile of faceless naked women and zero regard for human life in general, all in the service of the protagonist's base impulses. It is clearly a cry for help from a neglected, self absorbed and disempowered juvenile badly in need of affectionate guidance. What a sad, sad display.

Except that this is in fortress mode. And demi-god only affects your skills and attributes in the beginning, so I don't see how that would matter.
