Hey guys. Would you help me with ideas?

Requests for specifications. Apparently my brain is either not fit or not trained for giant mechas and the like, and I should really try to wrap this up soon. Procrastinational research into evolutional potential in different environments doesn't help. So, people, anything you'd like featured in the following, i.e. overall design or particular details:

• steampunk robot
• alien alien
• ^its environmental suit
• robo-phoenix, although there are already three ideas for that
• and many different DF elves, attacking a single goblin - equipment, maybe some features, etc. I want to draw a lot of elves, and I fear that without hints most of them will be pretty featureless and uninteresting. I'd really like to avoid that.

Basically, I haven't drawn in a long time, I don't have a lot of patience, and there's some walk to a scanner. Which means I'd prefer not a lot of realism, not a lot of texturing detail, and few images to scan. Well, how about one image? I've got a stack of A3 sheets, and don't want to draw a single person on each one and then fill the rest with grass. I'd like to put a lot of characters into a single image and leave out the grass. It's a lot to ask of a single requester, so I thought a mash-up of different requests might work.

As you can see, it's mostly pencil, although I've dabbled recently in black pen and pastels, although I'd like to reserve them for emergencies; and I tend to realism. So you might want to avoid requesting your favourite cartoon character, if you don't want to be, possibly, unpleasantly surprised by his/her/its realitised look (an example is The Guy on the second page of that thread). Of course, requests aren't limited to characters; fauna and mechanisms work, too, and I'd personally would love to put in one or two dinosaurs.

...Oh, one more thing. I guess, requests for the overall theme of the drawing are accepted, too - that is, what all the characters have gotten together for (to conquer the world! or something).

How about elves sitting around a small campfire, giving nervous glances over at some human/dwarf who resembles an axe murderer? Actually, if it's a mash up of different ideas, have them looking over at the next request.

Hundreds of various strange and ailien gods (at various levels of detail), from elemental personification to Egyptian animal-heads to lovecraftian masses of tentacles, frolicking around a Mandelbox (google it for amazing images) rebuilt into a golden city and generally hanging out having a good time, playing games and eating and lazing about.

That should be huge enough. And AMAZING.

Well, I can take DarkerDark's request like it is. I suppose you mean DF elves. Any preference to their equipment? I actually don't think I've ever checked what elves wear in my games, so any tips would be appreciated. Or I could go by Tolkien-Jackson.

Armok, that's a bit too huge Mashing-up gods from all history with the rest of requests might prove problematic. I'd like to pick out a few select specimens. Of course, a couple of lovecraftian guys goes in without a question. And Egyptian gods are cool, too. Anyone else, specifically? Maybe Quetzalcoatl? Elementals, I'm not sure they're going to look good against these gods, at least how I imagine them (Oblivion-style). In any case, I need a specific elemental. Oh, and I've googled Mandelbox, and can't figure out how gods are supposed to be frolicking around it Nevermind. You're gonna like it.

IronyOwl, drawing your request so hard. Although I can't decide which one of them should be the Mad Hatter and which one the White Rabbit.

Barbarossa, Google doesn't give me a good enough look at a Chichimec warrior for me to figure out how he would be different from any Indian when wearing a Tuxedo. Help?

Following up on an earlier post:

You know, I could probably draw up some of my adventures. Even though my skills aren't too great. But this one, I'd prefer if somebody else attempted.

It was a very old world (meaning, around 5000 years old), with no civ pop limits, megabeast cutoff, but lots of them beasts. I'm not exactly sure what happened there, but the elves of the world were mostly driven out of their forests until they no longer existed as a civ. There were scores of ruins all over the world - towns, forts, forest retreats. Into one such ruined town my goblin adventurer foolishly ventured, not expecting anything but possible loot. And then this happened.

Like I said, I'm not sure I can draw this one. I just don't think I'll be able to draw so. many. ELVES.



No, that's not all of them. A group about three times larger is to the northwest - I was fleeing from them. It was probably an elven nomad group - a LARGE nomad group, since I didn't limit civ populations. I pulverized about three dozen (with a cougar corpse) before I started getting tired and decided to make a run for it while I'm not yet surrounded. After weaving my way through most of the ruins (no archers among the elves, thankfully), I thought I got into a clear spot... and found myself rather wrong. Yes, I eventually did get away (these are elves, after all), but damn there were a lot of them.

I did actually try and draw the thing. Here's the result:

With that, I don't think a Mandelbox is going to fit. It's too much fiddling for me, and I'm certainly not Escher. Maybe only a simplified version.

Hrm... I just picked a random western North American Indian. A Cheyenne, Comanche, Nez Perce or other Plains Indian would work just as well.
