Yes, there is a announcement.txt in the init folder. You can make that this message won't trigger pause and zoom IIRC.

It's such a mixed thing.  Digging a massive room underneath a flooded room... 500x "damp stone PRESS THE BUTTONS AGAIN FUCKER AHAHAHA" versus actually digging under a cavern water source by accident.

edit: okay, it seems like you can only stop it from pausing and/or recentering the screen.  The job is still cancelled, but it's a good middle ground.
