MrWiggles, they put more money into engineering and getting better equipment. If you'll notice, the anti-tank ditches in Best Korea are 8 meters deep and 15 meters wide. They are just holes in the ground. The anti-tank ditches in South Korea are 10 meters deep and 30 meters wide with concrete walls and a 10 meter high fence on the southern side.

Ah alright. I figure some of it was better equipment, but defensive infrastructure wasn't presented in that break down of Sk and NK forces.

Also, they actually pay and feed their soldiers, most of their kits doesn't look like supply for a WW2-themed movie (I know they got some decent stuff too, but I don't believe it's most of their equipment).

S. Korean artillery mistakenly fired on DMZ
Great, on the brink of war and they've got Private Fat Fingers manning the artillery.

These are just probes to gauge response from the Westerners. If America doesn't get out of Afghanistan and Iraq soon, there will be more to worry about in the future I'd bet. NK is China's third party, the troublemaker if you will. Hopefully for the human race this is simply China encouraging America to speed up the timeline to get the hell out of the two ground wars we are already in that benefit only the very few who profit monetarily from them. Hopefully this is not an expansionist China.

I just got to this thread. If there is still a question about what the sides would be:

Here's the official video to go with "No motherland without you", with footage of Dear Leader, and of Best Korea's Army Choir

Shit, I'm tempted to make a ringtone out of this.

Less funny is the "Let's Eat Two Meals Per Day Campaign" they had during the famines.  I'm not making this up.

Guys! I found a subtitled version!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmI2yDAyWYI&feature=related

(I'm getting sort of hooked onto this stuff. I found myself humming it in the shower. I wonder if it has subliminal commands implanted or something)

Edit: And a disco remix! Man, in Best Korea they know how to groove! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHcpIJxAsFE&feature=related

Edit 2: Mp3! Now you can hear songs honoring the Dear Leader in your ipod!
http://www.korea-dpr.com/no_motherland_without_you.mp3

(I wanted to make some quip about Steve Jobb's personality cult rivaling that of Supreme Leader Kim Il Sung, but couldn't think of any).

From what I've heard most recently, we only have 48,000 'advise and assist' soldiers in Iraq, and they'll be leaving in the foreseeable future.

North Korea uses military force as political pressure... Missile launching is just a national pastime.

Speaking of instability, Wikileaks has published a potential time bomb which was published by various newspapers. There hasn't been any reactions just yet, but looks like theres alot of stuff that would cause uproar that has nothing to do with the US.

I'm not going to link them as I don't want to derail this thread and I'm not sure of Toady's position on this kind of thing.

I don't think there was anything on Korea, but it definetly won't help the situation over there.

Most assault rifles have a 30-round magazine. Why do those come in boxes of 20?
