yes aimed attacks are awesome they also make combat a lot more fair (is it me or do hands and feet always come off so easy even with gauntlets)?

mine has to be the aimed attacks on unconcious NPC's then methodically chopping off all their limbs and nose... their nose is my trophy :D

My favorite trophy is guts!  My usual method is to strangle the target until they pass out, slice open the lower body, and then chop off the guts.

I also have a tendency to pick up a sample of blood from noteworthy enemies like bandit leaders and night creatures. :)

In genesis mod I bit off a childs penis and used it to kill his mother... what FUN!

Well... I did not see that comeing.....
I once shot some bandit's penis off with a bow...

right after decapitating someone with a different shot that also wounded a second bandit in the leg...

In case your wondering it's the combat that makes me love adventure mode...

Leading an ever-growing grou of people into combat which is, quite frankly, more immersive, challenging and intense than almost all other graphical titles, with the knowledge that you can, very easily, sustain crippling injuries which will destroy your hero for life; and even more that you only get one life, that there is no respawn, makes adventure mode awesome.

I also love how it affects the world around you, that your character is noted down in legends mode and you can gain titles.

Visiting my fortresses is also fun.

Wait a minuite. You can remove guts from the target, then put the guts in your hand and use this as the item for wrestling. Strangle with guts!

Right new adventurer! I wonder if I can gut my taget and strangle them to death, probably will just bleed out though :(

THAT'S BRILLIANT!  I have to try it now!

EDIT:

Looks like the game will let you "grab" the throat with the guts, but on your next turn, it'll say you don't have any grip on it. :(

Had to settle for this:

I play adventure mode to crush my enemies, see them driven before me, and to hear the lamentation of their women.

Aww wthats a shame, I wanted to strangle with guts. I kinda got distracted when I ripped a bandits head off and decided to use it to beat everyone else to death with it.

Once I get the hang of this "not dying" thing, I'm going to make it my mission to fill every floor tile in every lair in the world with the heads of my enemies.

Ah, this bloodstained thread seems to be back.

Hmm . . . I just got a mental image of thread that is "dyed red" through means other than redroot dye.  It would be neat if thread with contaminants on it got made into cloth with those same contaminants.

For shits and giggles, I tried traveling while bodyswapped with assistance from DFusion. Yes, that is precisely what it said NOT to do.

Everything was fine until I tried to turn back into the normal view. I found myself as a Starman (wtf? what's that) peasant next to another Starman peasant. I was carrying nothing. I looked around to find myself deep, DEEP underground, on a steep cliff 3 z-levels from what appeared to be the bottom of a somewhat circular 40+ z-level tube. I was like "WTF? Where would this even exist?". I ended up killing the peasant ally, and then jumping down to the bottom, killing myself.
The fact that I was at the bottom of an essentially bottomless pit was frightening. I don't know why.

This is the kind of thing I love about DF's procedural nature. It doesn't explode when you do something out of the ordinary. It accomodates.

Not necessarily, because dying will preserve my progress.

Good point sir.
I'm sure over the next thousand years the caves of your world will begin to overflow with the heads of slain bandits & creatures.

I want to see that happen. If you pull it off I'm requesting a save for that world, doomdome.
