I'll be in on this.  I really enjoyed all the previous games, though my best efforts to stop Akroma were for naught.

However, does Web Diplomacy now let you choose your starting empire?  That's something new to me.  If we do get our choice, I'll start as England.

Well, I'll play with France then. We still need a player for Italy. (Or if someone want France instead, I can be Italy.)

diplomacy veteran here

I am not calling dibs on anything, random decides

if you want to a good game of diplomacy, just use http://webdiplomacy.net/index.php
and create a private game with a password

edit: also, don't listen to kasshyyk. he is only angry because he lost.

the additude he is portraying is btw the exact reason why he lost. beint stuck at the "oh god it's akroma, kill her first, kill her first, never listen to what she has to offer" robbed him of all diplomatic choices he ever had.

stating in the first round that he has no intentions to work together with me, and will do everything to destroy me and only me, no matter the cost, it was easy to make a decision based on that and counteract his moves.

if you want my veteran advice, always only think about one thing: how will that course leave me on the board?

don't think about "how will that leave him/her on the board"
that does nothing for you

in case a different 7th player other than me is found, I'd be glad to serve as a neutral advisor and post move analasys on the threat

I'm not angry that I lost, just angry that I keep letting myself get manipulated. Usually by you, admitedly. I really don't have the right mentality to play Diplomacy, I'm too trusting.

Okay, I created the game, which is called "Bay 12's Diplomacy". The password is "dwarf" (without the ").

It's just sad that you can't choose your country.

Joined, diplomacy really reminds me of neptune's pride, because of the betrayal aspect.

damnit, only 24 hours ?

being the busy chemistry student that I am, I am afraid I will have to ask for 48 hours.

if you insist on 24, that's fine with me, someone else can take my spot.

always feel free to PM me for advice though

Alright, I've joined up, and being the last to do so, the game has started!  The lineup is as follows:

England - Frelock
France - sheb
Italy - grek
Germany - Mainiac
Austria - V-Norrec
Turkey - Lemon10
Russia - USEC Officer

Good luck all.  May the games begin!
