You feel this is a good idea. You gently breath in and out and rest, from the fright you just had. You slowly hear the stomping get quieter and soon enough it's only gentle thumps sounding as if they're far off. You wonder if you should keep moving through the vent or get back out, but personally you don't think going back into that room is a good idea.

Use the mirror to look into the room. Is the thumping guy still there?

Yeah sure, check back with the mirror.

Continue onward after that though.

You crawl back to the entrance of the vent and climb out silently. You walk over to the door and use the mirror to look around the corner. There are small holes where the thumper guy must've stomped his feet down. No sign of him, though. Looks all clear. The metal door is on the ground, huge holes are in it and dents all over it.

You climb back into the vent, crawling through forwards on the cold and thin metal. You are making a lot of noise, so you try to get through it as quickly as possible. Suddenly, the vent breaks, splitting in two. The half behind you stays straight and up, while your half falls and smashes into a new room. Dust flies everywhere and you get into a coughing fit, before crawling out of the vent and wiping your eyes clean.

The room is a small office with only one exit. The exit is a simple door, but it's locked. You probably can't break it down without a big tool of some sort. There is a big desk with a computer on it, which has a lot of drawers, and a large chair that you can spin on!

Spin on chair to relax. Display fear level.

Fear level: [][][][][][][][][][]

You feel pretty good! Sure, you're a little weirded out, but nothing to be afraid of. You're safe. You grab the back of the chair and turn it around. A skeletal figure is sitting in a strange position- it's head is on it's lap and it's torso is tilted to the left. Pieces of meat are still hanging off it, and under the chair you can see a puddle of dried blood.

You gasp and step backwards, letting out a small scream. You cover your mouth quickly, and you start hearing a faint thumping again...

You look for the computer tower and turn it on. It slowly boots up, and you see the monitor light up. It emits a loud sound, basically to say that it's started up, and it goes to the desktop. You clean the layer of dust off the screen and grab the mouse. There's a few interesting looking files, Internet Explorer, and Paint. The explorer bar seems to be missing at the bottom of the screen.

The thumping gets louder and closer.

The files are just text files. You double click on one, and it slowly pops up on screen with a bit of lag. The filename is 609. The words finally show up on screen after a minute. All that's written is 609, over and over again. There's no end to the document...You close it out and look at another. It's labelled SIM-60. It boots up quicker than the other, and it describes basically what you just went through in the simulation. It describes what your surroundings looked like, what you were wearing, and exactly what happened to you. It doesn't describe the purpose of it, though. You do realise you aren't wearing that jacket anymore, but you open up the last file. It's filename is a bunch of gibberish. Just as it pops up, a large furry fist slams through the door, making a huge hole. You stagger backwards and fall to the floor. You didn't realise he was that close..you were too interested in the files to notice!

Disasemble the skeleton and use the pelvis as a shield, whatever killed this person can't break bone for some reason appearantly. Hide in the collapsed vent and wait. Think about the internet to calm down. Check fear.

You scramble to your feet and grab the human skeleton's pelvis, trying to rip it from the rest of the skeleton. You can't take the time to disassemble the entire skeleton, so you just grab the skull instead. The skeleton doesn't seem to have been slaughtered by any form of beast..almost as if it's been rotting there for years. You dash to the broken vent and jump inside, hoping the monster won't find you...

Fear level: [X][X][X][X][X][][][][][]
You feel anxious and quite afraid. You are likely to fumble with small things because of this.

The door flies off it's hinges, flying into the wall and crumbling the tiles even further, pieces of ceramic break off and fall to the floor, making a lot of noise. The thumper stomps into the room, but you can't see it from this angle, but it seems to have stopped moving. You assume it's near the computer. You breath in and out gently, trying to calm yourself and keep quiet. After a minute or two, you hear the thumper leave the room.

You throw the skull, but you can't throw it correctly while shivering in fear. It doesn't go far; hitting the floor and rolling across it, not making much of a sound as it make a slight crack in the tiled wall. The thumper doesn't seem to be returning. You start to calm down as the thumper's stomps are no longer audiable.
