Right. Sorry I'm late. I'm in a bit of confusion over if I'm in the same area as the mercs or not.

:/

Sniper rifle. Mercenairies skulls. Boom.

Mass Effect RTD: Turn 6 (Opening Engagement)
« Reply #91 on: November 22, 2010, 02:19:35 pm »

Most of you are close enough to Charnak to assist. Don't worry.
Also, Kaguro, I'm sorry, but using your cloaking device if you have less than a 5, then not using it when you do get a five seems like cheating. I'll let it slide for this turn, but afterwards, you either use your cloak in an action or you don't.

-----

Quote from: Taricus
Plant explosives at weakpoints
[4] Taking a chance, you head back to Goronak's compound. You manage to place your demolition charges at the structure's weak point. This is gonna rock the whole district.

Quote from: Frelock
Help Taricus, and try to ensure we're not seen.

[6] You are inspired by Taric's escapade, and you try to sneak past the guards in an overly dramatic fashion. Amazingly, you succeed...but the demo charges you just bought slipped out of your hands, and you can't go back to get it without being caught! Argh! At least Taric took care of it.

Quote from: Flintus10
Biotic charge into one of the attackers and then finish him off with the shotgun.
[4] You get into a crouched stance, and your body glows with biotic energy. Time seems to slow down as you zoom at the Soldier at an incredible speed. You ram into him, and he grunts as he stumbles back. If it wasn't for his shields, he would've been knocked to the ground, maybe with a broken bone or two (you can thank gene mods and augmentations for increased durability). You took a good chunk out of them though. [1] You raise your Katana shotgun to fire...
*click*
What the? Oh no, it's jammed! You can try to unjam it, but don't forget about your Tempest.

Quote from: Metal Militia
Investigate the air duct entrance.
[3] After a bit of walking, you hop down into a trench and find the entrance...oh, Goddess dammit. It's been sealed up! Goronak must've become aware of it at some point. However, don't lose hope just yet. It doesn't look too secure. A strong force should be able to tear the barrier away...

Quote from: Kaguro Draven
Sneak in through the back, using cloaking device only if necessary.
[1+1=2] You try to sneak around to the back, but your cloaking device briefly malfunctions, forcing you to stay put while you try to fix it. You'll have to try again, or find another route.

Quote from: Krath
Guard Taricus and Flintus while they set up the explosives.
[4] You stay on their six and keep an eye out for incoming patrols while they (or rather, Taric) do their work. You see a three-man fireteam heading in your direction. Not good; you don't want to get caught flat-footed.

Quote from: dermonster
Sniper rifle. Mercenairies skulls. Boom.
[3] You line up your shot on the Sentinel. However, your hands are shaking too much to aim at his head, so you aim for the left leg. [2+1=3] His shield isn't strong enough to stop the powerful round, though it slows it down heavily. The bullet is stopped by his armor. The merc grunts as it bruises his leg, but it won't slow him down at all.

Quote from: Merc 1
Fill Charnak with lead!
[5] The merc grips his Avenger, raises it and fires a burst at Charnak. His shots head right for his center mass! [3] Fortunately, Charnak's shields hold up. They deplete them by around two fifths, though.

Quote from: Merc 2
Shoot the sniper!
[2] Merc 2 swears as he raises his Kessler pistol at Derek and fires off two rounds! Fortunately, his aim is unsteady after taking that round. Both shots miss.

Make a combat drone to distract the guards, then run and get my explosives.

Find some cover and shoot again.

The problem with non-magic RTD's is that there is less 'creative' potential. (I use water magic to drain my opponents blood out through the eyes.) This is somewhat averted with biotics, a bit less so with tech, but it's still there.

Rip a grenade out of my vest and toss it towards the three man fireteam. Doing things subtle is for wimps.

Now that I think about it, you're kinda right. Oh man, I hope this RTD doesn't lose steam because it was boring...

Are you guys enjoying this RTD?

No, No, its all good. It's just gonna be a bit repetitive, so think clever when getting 1's and 6's.

I shoot the guy.
[6] You headshot him and the bullet paints a mural on the wall of a guy getting headshotted in the medium of blood and brains.

Sorta like that. Except not.

Oh, of course. I don't intend on writing bland combat descriptions.

At least, I hope they won't be bland.

You could always mix it up, especially if you're in close quarters. (Hand-to-hand)
Take Krath's last action, for example.

Also, yay, 100th post!

It's cool Nimitz, I'm enjoying it. Though the only way I can mix it up is if I wanna go assassin style, sneaking around under cloaking device and slitting throats, after all moveing that slow won't set off shields in ME Canon.

Hmm, question for possible future mixin' up. Can biotics be used to help the party in a buff sort of way?

In therory one could, since biotic fields appear to effect mass and to an extent gravity, if an ally was in a fist fight you could give a rediculas amount of added mass to their fist right before it connect, effectively added strengh. It's somewhat canon biotics can do this to themselves atleast, if one of Kaiden's comments is true.

I've got ideas (thanks to A level biology they are also feasable) but I'm not sure if Nimitz would allow them as they can be overpowering. But all I've thought up are improvised ways and can be dangeriouse to use.
