I've got a working tri-biome right now*.  I have, zombie giant eagles, unicorns, and occasional generic woodland critters.

Exporting war camels.

You heard me right.

Thanks to a touch of RAW modding, I embarked with several of my new favorite animal. The stately, elegant, and odorous WAR MUSKOX!

They kick skeletal warthogs but GOOD.

The way wildlife works is that there are basically several slots. A herd of elk may take up one, a giant eagle another. Your hunters can always zip around killing animals because once they clear a slot something else plops onto the edge of the map. In the case of this dual biome you will sometimes have standard savage biome animals wandering around and sometimes have whatever comes from the evil region. So it's sort of less dangerous if you just don't do anything about the neutral type groundhogs and things that wander through but if you kill them there will be plenty of nasty stuff off the evil region as well.
