The Mist had that part where the narrator slept with the woman who was taking care of his kid, didn't it? Totally unneeded, too, but Stephen just crams a sex scene in there.

I can't remember if he actually had sex with her, or if he just lusted after her. It's been a couple of years since I read it.

It wasn't the most awkward sex scene in a book, but the part in The Mists of Avalon where Morganne and Arthur have sex in a pagan ritual is pretty awkward afterward, as you can probably imagine. (HINT: THEY WERE SIBLINGS!)

Probably not even the most awkward one in that book too. We have the one where the young girl spreads the various love-making juices on the head of the cripple she's doing, which mind controls him. And the one where Morganne does Lancelot in the stables for no reason, and then the rape followed by consensual sex out of nowhere on the rapists dead body.
 I don't remember much form that book, but I don't think any of the sex scenes in that book would be considered anything but odd.

A padded cell for the clinically insane adapted for zero-G environments would make the perfect room for a weightless romp. That should minimize complications, provided there's extra padding (for any contact made with the surroundings) and water-proofing (for... other reasons). Then again, that would beg another question; would a padded cell in zero-G really be safer for the clinically insane astronaut? And why would one be there in the first place if not for the reasons I included above, rather than to prevent pandorum? I mean, that would be what a brig is for.
