modding happiness reactions
« on: November 17, 2010, 12:29:09 am »

I recently decided to have FUN with a depression spiral. . . babies died and moms were ecstatic, friends died and almost everybody was ecstatic.  They were starving and dehydrated and mostly ecstatic.

How do I make negative happiness effects greater and positive ones lesser?

You could try dicking around with the personality tags.  Give them something like [PERSONALITY:EMOTIONALITY:90:95:100], possibly doing it for ANGER and DEPRESSION as well.

Do you mean to raise the value of items or the requirements?

Exerpt from townbrush.txt by Internet Kraken:

"Nobody wants to live in Townbrush, and for good reason. Almost everyone that has come to Townbrush has been eaten, stabbed, crushed, drowned, hacked, incinerated, or beaten to death with an octopre skin backpack. When we're not under siege, we're being attacked by Forgotten Beasts. And when we're not being attacked by Forgotten Beasts, there's probably a zombie whale crushing someone to death in the dining room."

Increasing the anger stat makes for LOTS of fun once you get just a few miserable dwarves, however doing so wont affect dwarves that arrived before you made the change.

I make Grimlocke's History & Realism Mods. Its got poleaxes, sturdy joints and bloomeries. Now compatible with DF Revised!
