Look at what the OP changed their avatar to.   Likewise, Encased in Burning Magma's avatar is horrible, despite being a really cool picture, because you can't turn a large detailed image into one a tenth of the size without it looking awful.

I just feel the need to point it out here in this thread because it's been on my mind for a while, weighing heavily, and this being an avatar thread, a good place to air it.

A note:  The forum limits avatars to something under 100 pixels by 100 pixels, so all you folks with giant pictures being crushed down to that size end up with blobs of nonsense colors.  This is only slightly less annoying than people with animated avatars that are over a megabyte in size.

I remember watching a trailer for some tower defense game I found on tvtropes, something something something don't remember.  It had space and stuff.  When they went through the cast of characters I saw one that looked incredibly familiar, but I couldn't place an exact answer on it.  Then I remembered Captastic's newest/current avatar.

Yeah, that game is a profound little gem called Immortal Defense, by indie dev group Studio Eres.   I highly recommend purchasing it, especially now since it is name your own price.  I've gladly purchased the game at normal price twice, to acquire it for myself and a friend.

Edit, a little more info:  It's a very good tower defense game, with addictive and challenging gameplay, superb storyline [cannot stress this enough], and very good soundtrack.   Do yourself a favor and purchase it.

This is something that always bothered me about internet forums in general. People will sometimes use a huge picture as their avatar, but you can't actually see the details since it gets shrunk so much. It's not as bad here though, since I can at least view the original image just by right-clicking on someone's avatar.
