That's the wall along the northern border of the Seven Kingdoms, defending the realm from the wildlings who live beyond.

I tried to do the same with a 33x33 size world.
Required around 12 pictures at a resolution of 7000x5000 (approx.). Had to downscale for Photoshop to handle stitching them together.

Click for a larger (7x4k) picture.
Neat, look at those towns running along the canyon. Some buildings up high, some down in the shadows of the valley.

This is a utility for viewing the detailed maps exported from legends mode in a more user friendly format.

Instructions:

go to legends mode in DF, and export the various detailed maps. then use this program to open any of them, and it'll display the biome map and the heightmap.

To connect to DF, first install DFHack R3, then copy the contents of the hack folder from Isoworld to the hack folder in your dwarf fortress directory. Then you should be able to connect when the game is running.

Looks like a stitching error.

There's another, smaller, error on the left near a river.  It's invisible in the scaled down version.
(Its just to the left of the big mountain)

So I came out of lurk mode to say how much a love this utility and was wondering if there is a practical way you could make it so you can zoom in and out using some kind of scaling method. It looks like others have had the same thought looking at all these cool stitched together maps, it was entertaining enough just to see that. So are there any plans to add this option to the utility itself? I read earlier that the GPU is a limiting factor, could you just put in a "generate full map option" and go away and leave it to do it's thing, just like with worldgen? Am I missing something obvious here? Would the GPU still be struggling after generation?

Either way, great creation, thanks for sharing your work with us.

Honestly, the biggest obstacle to that right now is the fact that I have no time nowadays to do anything. I'm pretty busy with work.

Are there any plans to release a version of the plugin compiled for dfhack-r5?
