What kind of map format? Do you mean there's something in the devlog, or already present? :)

in addition to the current ones, there'll be one that shows biomes without height messing things up, and stuff like that.

Sorry to interrupt the dev conversation... But I just downloaded the new version (after installing the 2005 redestributables) and I'm still getting an incorrectly installed error.

Really getting annoyed at this error, this program looks really useful.

(Also just to check, what file names/locations does this program look for before starting? Do I need to put my maps somewhere spesific?)

the program doesn't need any specific folders, and the filenames should be what DF exports.

not sure what's causing the error, but I can try building a mingw build.

Sounds like something should change at least with MingW.
I don't see what this computer's missing that everyone else has.
You're using Visual Studio right now, right?

Just wondering, uhh. What OS are you on, Japa?
I ran Dependancy Walker on my copy of IsoWorld and it came up with a few entries like msvcr80.dll, no problem.
Ran it on allegro-5.0.dll and aparently that's where the problem is.
I downloaded the source code from google to try and compile it myself, the compile went swimmingly, but it threw a similar error when I tried to debug the program.
I think that can also be traced back to allegro-5.0.dll.
Tried compiling that from source too... But Cmake started throwing errors I didn't fully understand.

I realise the code probably has some integral need for allegro 5, but is it possible I could try and revert it to allegro 4.9 or is there some make or break feature between the two?

It could just be the fact I'm on XP then.

And, I'm not really sure where else I could get Allegro5 from, much less where I could get one that'd work for me.

I'm on XP SP3 myself, and it works fine for me. Granted, I don't really know what I'm doing with it most of the time, but I don't get any error messages, at least.

Quick update on my progress.
Downloading the '08 compiled .dlls actually worked for me. I dunno why, or how, but both VS and Dependancy Walker are giving the program and it's new dlls the all clear.

So, now, I have an executable that runs, up until line 343, when it complains about not being able to load -anything-.
That said, I noticed that "allegro_main-5.0.dll" didn't have an equivilent... Yet it seems quite happy without it.

I'm starting to wonder what the heck is up with my computer.
It bluntly refused to run SlimDX the other day as well. I'm starting to get a bit worried about it.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE in the next release add a function to dump the entire region map to an image file. This is so cool. Thank you.
