Even the toughest ones go down easy to a single axemen. It's when they gang up is the problem. So the solution is a way of fighting while walking backwards to keep them in a single line all the time.

It seems very dwarven to use the hell itself as a garbage disposal. I can just see this isolated pile of goblin clothing, rotten food, and chunks of animals sitting there in a featureless plain, slowly cooking in the heat as demons pick at it.

If you're a dwarf and get a martial trance, it becomes MUCH easier to hit them.

Alternately, be a wrestler. If you manage to grab one of them, they seem to get a penalty to their dodging ability. Too bad they don't seem to need to breathe, since a well-skilled wrestler can make a human pass out after one strangle.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Spears work with bogeymen as with everything else. Kill it.

I'm actually quite nice IRL, but you people have to pay the price for that.

Now stop being distracted by the rudeness, quit your accusations of trollery, and start arguing like real men!

I dont know. When I'm surrounded by bogeymen, I just keep walking into them, and it randomly does an attack, which usually chops a limb off. I can't beat them any normal way though.

This is a platinum warhammer. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. it menaces with spikes of platinum.
there is an image of the goblin Utes Gozrusrozsnus and dwarves in elf bone. The goblin is making a plaintive gesture. the dwarves are striking a menacing pose.
this image relates to the slaying of Utes Gozrusroz

I found a weakness on them this morning.

Stabs to the lower region seem to kill them a whole lot faster than hacking off body bits.

This morning I took out about 3 seperate groups of them in under 30min. Got to the point where they dont even scare me anymore, as long as they dont suprise me I generally get them all.

Actually I find it hardest to deal with them as a wrestler. Bogeymen seem to be impervious to most wrestling attacks (such as locking and breaking joints) and thus they're really hard to kill. Not to mention even when I grab them I feel like repeatedly punching them in the face (and other areas of course) just racks up a lot of pointless damage.

In adventure mode I killed a Hydra within fifteen minutes, and then was mortally wounded by Carp while swimming in a river.

True, my legendary wrestler/legendary fighter hero died to bogeymen. Damn them.

Depends on weapon of specialty and experience.
I made a thread earlier with some pics...insta kill bites and such.

It's mostly just luck.

I find that just running from them until daybreak is the best tactic for me. I can outrun most of them, but in case one pops up that can outrun me, I run until he's right behind me, then do a random attack on him, and it seems to almost always knock the bogeyman over. I then continue running, and he's usually too late to catch up, forcing him to vanish.

Thanks, that's what works for me the best, too.

I have had great luck by killing them with swords. A scimitar can take off their legs easy and then they become slow. Just pick them off after that.
