None of my dwarves are mining, even though i have plenty of picks and booze, they have the labor enabled, and have no currently assigned job. they were working fine until i decided to try having every dwarf do every task, with females mining and males woodcutting. im wondering if this change has anything to do with their procrastination, and if not, how do i fix them.

Did you assign the labors with Dwarf Therapist?

all males have woodcutting, all females have mining

Did you make sure to 'Write changes'? I use Therapist and i forget to do that often.

changes are written, and tools are forbidden and reachable by miners. they might even have the tools on them, but they just wont mine

Has everyone with mining enabled been in the military?

Did you use that tool that lets you designate a whole vein for mining?

Assigning mining and woodcutting labors through DT is broken. Try setting the labors manually.

i checked the labors through the (v) labor menu and they all had what Therapist said they should

DT screws it up

do you mean unforbidden? also, marked for dumping by any chance?

Also, the issue with assigning mining and woodcutting with DT is that it never tells them to go get their tools.

sorry, i meant unforbidden. they got working again after i settled for having a smaller portion of my workforce mining.
im on a slow computer and i get impatient

I am pretty sure that problem was fixed a while back, I have no problem assigning the mining and woodcutting tasks to dwarves with DT currently at least?
