I've had fun matchs with the medium III. Though it's either dieing uselessly, or make 4-5 kills.

So far I think my favorite tank is the very first Soviet light tank. I equipped it with a very nice gun that can actually deal respectable damage, even over long distances and to tier-2 tanks. It's also decently fast and can usually survive at least one hit. Now I'm trying to decide which of the next two light tanks to branch into, and I'm also trying to avoid reading spoilers on the wiki (which is probably what made me sink so many credits into the glass glacier that is the Medium II).

The American tier-2 light is also tremendously fun, and is surprisingly tough while being one of the fastest things on the battlefield.

Just an incredibly good match with my T-34 where I killed 5 other tanks, hurt various other, and got 1187xp (yoohoo, ace tanker).

The Leichttraktor with the stock cannon is probably better than the first soviet light! Hits for 10 less damage, but the view range, hp, maneuverability, and aimtime more than makes up for it!

Except they don't all play the same 

The American Tier 1 is easily the quickest of the lot, but it's gun is back at the rear of the vehicle so that you tend to expose the front of your tank to enemy fire before you can shoot back. The British Tier 1 is a slow piece of crap, but is tall enough to shoot over some obstacles that other tanks can't. I don't remember the French tank very well but my impression was that it wasn't very good. The German tank seems jack-of-all-trades. The Soviet tank is actually pretty good at sniping with the proper cannon, as is the Chinese tank.

The only tier 1 that I have top gun in is the loltraktor.

I like the Auto-Cannon on it. In T1 fights, I can speed around and ram tanks before unloading into their side. T2 and above, can't even pen anyone.

Sirus, I'd recommend going to T-26. That whole line is fun to play (at least it was for me), the KV-1 is pretty much universally acknowledged as a credit-printing machine, and it leads into everything Soviet except the TDs eventually.

On the home front, I rebought my Marder II despite being deep in the JagdPzIV slog, in part because it's a beautiful glass cannon, but also because I'm going to take yet another futile stab at playing arty without driving myself to boredom, this time through the German line.

Oh, and speaking of the JagdPzIV, apparently WG decided it would do better as an entrenched anti-air turret.

T-26, eh? I was wondering which of the two light Soviets to upgrade to.

I'll probably keep my little Tier-1 tank though. It's just so much fun, especially when it survives a duel against a tier-2.

So I'm now the flying tank driver of my clan. El Halluf really lends itself well to giant leaps, managed to jump over an ELC one time (scratched it a bit) and also make by longest flight yet, some two-three seconds of pure air (also got hit in the ass by an ELC while mid air, new game mode, duck hunt ).

Personnaly, I like better the upper line of soviet light, which leads to medium. I love the T-34 and medium gameplay, so yeah. Anyway, it's not like you can't test the 2 lines at first (or even complete them, if you have time).

Yeah, to be fair I'd had the A-20 for ages and only got the T-50 when I got my KV-13, but the T-50 is hands down more fun to play, especially once you learn to be as one with the drift. The A-20 feels like a medium with the gun and straight-line speed of a light. I skipped the T-34 line entirely and am re-entering it by way of the KV-13 to T-43 connection. I'm not even sure why, but something about them turned me off. Might be because I always seem to be able to penetrate them without difficulty, regardless of what I'm using.

The A-20 is quite bad, especially with it's matchmaking. It has scout matchmaking, but isn't even really good for scouting.
After that, it's more medium flanker, with not really good hp/armor, but good gun, decent mobility, I find it really good.
