I think I just fried my videocard when trying this game... I suppose it would have happened anyway, sooner or later, but damn... and my warranty ran out three days ago :/

Just downloaded this and registered, not a clue what to do. Is there a manual somewhere?

F1 ingame brings up a key mapping for everything, and look up some guides or videos on their forums they can really help, or if you want to be a real man just jump in and pretend like you know what you are doing, worked well enough for me :D

Well, just jumped into my first battle. WASD and mouse aim aren't too hard. It's pretty fun. I was dodging shots and almost destroyed another tank :D
E: Got my first kill.

Is it just me or do higher tier TD's go from "trade armor, mobility and a turret for a giant doomcannon that oneshots same tier tanks" to "trade turret for more armor? My 107mm KV gun reliably penetrates both tigers and every IS variant I've come across except the 7 but I can't seem to get a single penetration against TD's above my tier.

I'm just glad the russian heavy line starts with the KV instead of the T-35.
30mm frontal armor, 10mm everywhere else, a short 76mm gun, 30kmph top speed, 10 meters long, almost 4 meters wide, crew of 11 and historically the out of combat/combat casualties had a ratio of 8/1 so I guess in WoT terms the engine catches fire if sneezed at.

I've been playing a bit too. Name is sluis, because apparently the double s in sluissa is a nazi reference.

Honestly, except for a couple of instances of extreme map pinging, most people have been pretty good about communicating. Those that do, anyway. It's generally either complete silence, or at least moderately useful chatter. At the very least, I haven't seen any gold farmers spamming the in game chats.

I just started playing yesterday...
All I gotta say is WOW most people suck... I am consistently raking in 2-5 kills a map with my Pz.Kpfw. 35(t) (and usually don't die myself).
Its just too easy when most idiots just charge full speed for the flag...

I (in-game: Elsior) created Bay 12 channel (yes, that's the name) so feel free to drop by.

A couple of things I just learned:

Luchs is more awesome than Leopard because Luchs gets to play against Light-Medium tanks. My Leo has to face the heavies (KV, IS, Tiger, and the likes). You'll rack more money using Luchs than you do using Leo because Luchs outguns and outruns most of the tanks it has to fight against (except the BT series).

Hetzer sucks so bad. It is slow and cannot mount a gun that can reliably penetrate the heavies. Get 105mm gun then it'll suck less but still suck. I killed more in my shorter career on Marder II than my long grind on Hetzer (still going!). Marder II often would be placed in a game that has lights and mediums, making it easy kill for me.

Also, how do you guys maintain top-tier tanks? If you lose the match, you're losing money. :( Do you use bottom-tier tanks to get cash so you can maintain your top-tier ones?
