Well i remember the "get a Super Pershing" and "get a "IS-6" events... they required the player to get 50k experience with ALL nations. and only battles in tier 6+ vehicles count si if i wanted a IS-6 i'd have to first grind out a tier 6 in every nation (i only had germany and USSR at the time) and then earn 50k exp on each of them. So yeah possible but insanely time consuming even if you had all the tank lines to begin with.

Not really. Especially if you had atleast two tanks from each nation. Since they counted daily doubles and bonuses from events (and there was atleast one x5 weekend which nearly instantly completed brits for me) so the amount of XP needed wasn't really all that high, especially if you were any good and could get the first win bonus quickly.

Can't really tell how hard it was objectively because i don't have a tank from every nation. At the time i only had Germans and Russians. Now i have Brits and Chinese in the mix... it was prety hard imo if you didn't have tier 6's already. And japan was fresh back then.

The IS-6 most certainly, didn't even bother with that one, partly because the tank itself never interested me that much. The SPershing on the other hand was relatively easy to obtain, I got it some 20 days in with a couple of hours every day, no more than I'd usually play at the time.

I just miss the missions that would get you like 300k credits every day you did them, those things funded the acquiring of so many tanks.

Those were rather nice. But they did create a huge influx of totally clueless idiots in higher tiers making them an exercise in frustration.

So did increasing the profitability of t8-10 to the point where every bad player and their mother can afford to run their T10s full time. It made the game very topheavy, which sucks for lower tiers who can get into those games.

Speaking of tier 10... any ideas how to drive a E100? I don't have one yet but kinda want to know more about it beforehand.
From what i see from watching tank inspector the top gun on it can't penetrate a IS7 frontally no matter what. not even with gold.

Generally the gun strikes me as a "mistake punisher" as in someone does a stupid mistage and gets a chance to be slapped with 750 damage... but with its accuracy i don't think it can do much beyond punishing said mistakes since aiming at weakspots with 0.4 accuracy is likely a bother.

With gold things are better... but shooting mostly gold just to be on an equal footing penetration wise is kinda... icky.

E-100 should be able to pen IS-7 lower plate with HEAT. Do be aware that the IS-7 is kind of a black sheep in that the armor is both thick and angle-reliant, pretty much the opposite of what the E-100 wants to fight. Against things like the Maus it has a much easier time.

Yes, you need to spam HEAT.

It's a great tank and will get even better next patch, since transmissions can no longer start fires. You want to sidescrape a lot and always, always brawl so that the accuracy doesn't matter. It has pretty good acc when turning the turret around, so snapshotting is a real possibility. Keep the turret angled in a diamond fashion when you're not firing.

E-100 playstyle is mostly just to get up close and smash face. All the intricate details are in how well you know how to use that armor. Be aware you have the best side armor in the game, use that to your advantage. Over-angling your sides can be a big help in giving your LFP enough of a boost to bounce even T10 TDs. Main downside to the tank isn't even the accuracy - it's the shell velocity. Trying to shoot at a moving distant med is almost impossible, since you'll need to guesstimate his position a good few seconds in the future.

You really don't need to spam HEAT with an E-100 to be able to do stuff, 235 is plenty enough penetration for most situations. And if that really is not enough for you you could use the 12,8 cm gun, which only has 4 less penetration then an IS-7, though it makes the tank weaker and you may as well just play a Maus instead.

Though I would disadvise you from "getting close and smashing face". You have a 20 second reload and most people know this. If you're just on the other side of a corner, without backup, they will just pummel you into oblivion while you reload.

No problem i was going to camp the hill on Prokhorovka anyway  ;)

The side armor n E100 seems to be somewhat crazy. especially in points where the spaced armor overlaps with the tracks.
Now i'm not really used to gold spamming and from what i understand heat is utterly useless if it hits the tracks... or any spaced armor for that matter... so aim for flat surfaces and avoid IS-7s liek the plague then?

HEAT is still fine against most spaced armor. It just depends on how far away the spaced armor is from the hull. Angled tracks create quite a large space between the hull and start of the tracks, while unangled tracks are just as paper against HEAT as they are against AP. Other kinds of spaced armor tend to be close enough to the tank itself that it doesn't matter.

You'll get the hang of it, but yes, flat armor is best. Angled thin armor is fine too, HEAT is actually better than AP against that. Angled thick armor is the worst, though.

You can use AP if you really want, but 9/10 HEAT will do the same or better in your situation.

HEAT doesn't have overmatch anymore. You can have a HEAT shell bouncing off a Waffle Turret due toe autobounce angles, which would never happen with AP(unless you're bringing a lowtier vehicle into a Tier X match by platooning)
