Making all maps more brawling heavy is just as unfun for those guys playing tanks not suited to it. Why play a scout tank if scouting is absolutely unecessary because combat ranges never get higher then 150 meter? Why even take out something lik a LeoPTA with its nonexistent armor if the T-54 is just as mobile, has imba turret armor and can utterly roflstomp lower tiers with it's frontal hull armor when all the maps are unsuited to what a PTA does best(long range engagements)?

And TDs happily camping 400+ meters in the back and being effective? You can thank the 8.6 Accuracy buff for that. Now that even such inaccurate guns like the BL-10 are considered to be "trolling" the user if they don't hit a target at 400 meters its no wonder camping in the back is deemed the most effective tactic.

Exactly.

I don't mind brawling and brawling heavy maps, but not all my tanks can do that, especially the scouts, most times my WZ is relegated to a minor annoyance that gets swatted aside the moment I make a mistake.

They are improving somewhat though, Kharkov is a pretty awesome map from what I've seen, it has a nice mix of brawling and sniping so you can easily find your place if you want to. Too bad most players don't know where their tanks belong though, so they all go and fucking brawl in the city :C

T10 TDs are also the ones that've been getting screwed for a long time, though. I agree that they punch really hard and pubbies are afraid to get hit, but camping isn't usually the result. You only see it on a select couple maps. Its all just "drive forward, click bad guys, go back to garage" now.

I literally said the same as the first part when they nerfed arty. Anyone with a brain should realise that camping makes it easier to hit you than actually attacking.
I miss reliably killing campers...

Nononono, thank god for the arty nerf. I just wish they didn't get buffed afterwords, now we're back to the same problems we had except arty is somehow even more frustrating to play.

As annoying as arty can be, I find that having one or (sometimes) two arty on a team can help increase the pace of the game. It gives scouts a better role as they can spot for the arty and not just the TDs who need line of sight to hit the targets and can help destroy campers. Basically, they are very useful to help encourage attacking rather than camping, or they would be if people played them that way and understood how useful they can be. Instead, most just shoot at whatever target pops up first, failing to help their teams greatly.

Yeah the angled lower plate with 200 mm thickness is kinda overkill... i'm quite sure it's stronger than the maus that has its lower place unangled.
Imo making it a 170 both upper nad lower plate woulb be less overkill... but what do i know?

Also after 2 days of grinding i managed to get a Mark of Excellence on my Tiger P!
Not sure if i want to grind on any other tank to getting one tho since i'm like... 30% on all of my tanks cept for the Tiger P i managed to push into 65% territory by sheer willpower alone.

Having been playing a certain other tank game for reasons, I returned to WoT to continue leveling... started with my Pz1c to ease back into it. Despite continually disabling my UI when trying to zoom in, I not only survived the game, did a decent amount of damage, but also won the game by zooming back to our base to cancel their cap against 5 enemy tanks. Sidescraping in a Pz1c is intense.

I've got to say, while the certain other tank game is quite fun in its own way, WoT just feels more like a... game. And I like that.

On the other hand, the buff to the second line of USSR destroyers is rather stupid and completely unneccessary. They don't need more DPM, they're already the strongest in that regard, what they need is some buffs that make them more comfortable and easier to use. All the DPM in the world is worthless if you can't effectively bring it to bear, or stay alive long enough for it to have any impact on the battle.

Anyways, the anniversary is this weekend, which means tons of goodies and discounts and whatnot. Gonna buy me a new T9, just gotta figure out which one, since I've unlocked a ton of them in the past two months but haven't actually had the cash to buy any of them :S

Being a Pz I C in a tier 2 match feels like being a long distance runner with a machine gun vs a bunch of disabled people with handguns. It doesn't feel right. Same with them being in a tier5-6, except you are still a runner but now you're against buildings with rocket launchers.

Hmm 15k Damage a day for a month to get a Dicker Max, I think I might actually go for this, having another tier 6 premium would be nice.

Was gonna ask where you got that info from, but then I remembered you're on US, and you guys get good missions :I

The best we got as far as monthly stuff goes is one that gives you 25% extra XP for a win and being in the top five/three/can't remember exactly. Should help with getting the FV4202 sooner.

And whoever has it or is almost there, do buy it, since there's a pretty strong chance you'll get it as a T8 premium once they replace it sometime at the end of the year.

I got the last gun for the rhm. I wasn't expecting that much from it (I've heard that it's not that good), but then I proceeded to get 7 kills. It's good in the same way that the KV-2 or the ISU is: it can deliver very high alpha damage, but can't hold somewhere on its own.

The 150 on the waffentragers isn't really that good unless you're willing to spam gold. You're far too fragile and far too slow to be able to effectively use the stupidly low penetration.

The 128 on the other hand has great damage and penetration coupled with a pretty good RoF making it a very scary gun.

Also randomly bought the WZ-120 (well it was a choice of four tanks and I rolled to see which one I'd get since I was rather indecisive). It's a pretty decent T-54 knock off, even while mostly stock, the only thing I dislike is the somewhat low ammo count (30 or so shells, on a 7-is second reload, not that great). Also can't wait to get the 122 for it, that gun looks amazing.

I'm not really bothered by the low pen, since I just aim for the people who have weak armor or don't know how to use their's. There are also not that many times when you need the full firerate of the 128; you can be at the front line and be fine with the 150's reloadtime. Of course, a lot of this comes down to playing style and personal preference.
