Careful with the kv3, it doesn't get in the t3-5 matches where a regular KV can wreck everything and gets lumped into the 6-10 matches as the list bottom fodder where even the long 122 can't penetrate a lot of what you are fighting. On the other hand, halfway to the IS.

yea, but the IS is barely better. Slightly faster firing 122mm. couple more hitpoints. tons faster and more maneuverable though.

It really feels like a medium tank. but i think both the KV-3 and IS are both great tanks even with the messed up matchmaking where you are barely ever top tier.

Now once you finally get to the IS-3, suddenly 90% of your matches you are top tier, and a god among tankers.

Same with IS-4, top tier ALOT of games and with even more epic armor that bounces most shots at you.


Also, yea i got some premium back. I went from losing 2k credits a match on average in my IS-4 non premium to making 20k average a match....

So some heavy stuff went down in world of tanks forums yesterday, someone reverse engineered the game, and posted the info he found. Heres part of it dealing with camo values.
Most of the people in the forum got banned for reposting the info etc.

World of tanks staff are denying any of this is real, but from what ive seen in game and from other posts in vehicle comparison forum, id say its pretty real, and matches up with other findings with visibility.

Check out the different in quality of russian camo moving and unmoving.

Quick reference of camo values.
These values are modified by your average camo skill and net. I guess something happens when the resulting value exceeds 1.0.

<0.1 basically no camo ability, camo skill/net are pure waste of time/money

first value is when moving (speed don't matter) / second value is sitting still

yea check out the t-54 stealth stats, compared to the Jagdpanther.

thats all i can say, im actually very mad right now, and i barely have any german or american tanks, its no fun to weight one side better than another. Especially with stuff incredibly hard to measure in game for the players.

as someone said in another forum "if it has panther in the name, its gonna not even gonna be able to hide well with camo"

And really how can a Panther be so hard to hide, and german tanks in general, sure the ruskies have lower tanks and all but germans are supposed to be snipers, therefore stay hidden while shooting, and this does not do good for them since the chances are that their prey is going to spot them before they spot it

Other high points were credits and xp factors for different tanks, If i remember correctly the T20 or T23 was the biggest credit earner multiplier in the whole game. (not counting gold tanks, which are the highest credit earning multipliers of all, the valentine gets 1.23 multiple)

so if you want to grind credits ^_^ get a t20 or t23

How come Russian tanks seem to be better at everything? I have only German tanks and I thought their TDs would at least be better, apparently the Russian TDs are better.

Because we're playing a beta of a product that was already released in russia and russian wot players like this balance better.

Also, I've spotted a bug: the 45mm cannon on the A-20 has HE shells that bounce off the open back of a marder, among other things.

I've managed to get into a total of one game without disconnecting, and I couldn't move in that game.

I think my PC has problems with this game.

I've just got the IS and surprise surprise, I'm the bottom of the list right next to a GW tiger and everything else is t8+. And I'm using my stock 85mm that can only penetrate their arty and nothing else. This game really needs a "don't put my stock tank against stuff I'm barely able to dent even when fully upgraded" option.

Perhaps a -1/+1 tier system based on equipment so a stock t7 would face fully pimped t6 and a maxed out t7 would face fresh t8. But alas, the only reason the western forums even have a "suggestions/impressions" section is because the entire forum structure is copy pasted from the russian release and the community manager has outright stated that the devs do not read the english forum.
