Its a meme in the dwarven fortress universe, more pronounced in fortress mode because they are the dwarf's opposite. While the dwarfs drink, eat, and generally are foul-mannered, happy people; the elves are sergeant buzz-stomps in comparison. As such, straggling elf traders in fortresses often are the victims of horrible magma accidents.
Now gtfo my dwarfish fortress you damn elf-lover.

Except then it would have had tentacles, not horns...

This is the worst thread I've ever seen.

That being said, elves > dorfs.  I've been kicked out of houses before too, but not because I didn't ask.  If you don't ask they'll stop you from sleeping and kindly ask what the hell you think you're doing.  I'm not sure why you get kicked out sometimes.  It certainly wasn't rape though.

I always get stunned awake. I've seen others do it too. I think that's just happens when entities wake up now.

Being forcibly ejected from houses, forts, etc when sleeping seems to happen even if you got permission to sleep there.

I personally imagine it's some form of practical joke on the occupant's part.  Or sleepwalking.

No. Real Dwarves stay up late, get drunk and then cut open the nearest bogeyman to use a sleeping bag.
