I've never played any of the MechWarrior games, but it looks cool.

I've had bad experiences with the multiplayer on that... then again it was mainly people using aimbots to fire ppc's across the map and hit you in the cockpit. Which seemed to be really rampant.

EDIT: oh and compared to others I tended to suck.

Anyone up to a game of C&C? I have the entire series, so that's not a problem. Also, apparently all the way up to and including Red Alert 1 is free to download, so there's that.

I can host any time today, so maybe in three hours? I was thinking about Tiberium Twilight, since its heavily focused on teamwork and almost nothing like a base building RTS.

But really, I don't know which games you guys have, so I can't really say. We could go with the free stuff, how about Tiberium Firestorm? Will have to see if they still have MP up for that, or we will have to go through Hamachi.

Eh, I don't know, Transformice is quite repetitive. Have they added any gameplay, or is just adding hats and monocles still?


Also, I just checked, and CnC Generals is the earliest game that has internet support. I'm surprised it does, honestly. All the other games won't let me access their LAN areas, perhaps because I'm accessing it through "The First Decade". CnC 3 may work also.

Yeah, I don't have any of the C&C games. Not really interested in them either.

I downloaded the original C&C shortly after it became free, to play the campaign, but it kept freezing up, so I eventually gave up on it. Never did try the others in the series. I did play Red Alert 2 once upon a time, but I don't have it anymore.

Have played most of the C&C games... could probably get the free ones in short order, if I had inclination. I'm terribly not fond of C&C's multiplayer, though, so... yeah. About the only RTS's multiplayer I've played that I like less is Starcraft*

RA2 might be alright, but... I've no idea where I put the CDs for that. It's been a looong time since I've played it.

*The base game, anyway. Too much freaking twitch. The custom maps are awesome and interesting. LotR!
