Taking my basics and learning what "port forwarding" is......anyway, I should be ready(or not ready if I fail) in about 20 minutes.

Using portfoward.com, I got as far as figuring out my router model. They don't have my model. Anyone have any other websites they recommend? I'll search for another website in the mean time....

Might have better luck finding advice by googling the router itself.
EDIT: actually come to think of it I would try figuring it out just by looking at the router's configuration menu, it depends on how user friendly it is I guess.

If you'd be willing to poke around and take screenshots we could almost certainly help. But yeah, if you find your router manufacturer's website they should have instructions for how to open/forward ports.

Of course. You would just have to hold my hand through the process(I just know surface level stuff, going into stuff like disabling functions and routers isn't something I do often).

After trying a different model(but same manufacturer) guide from portfoward, I got to the point of making my IP static(which I'm not sure if it actually did anything), and entering my internal IP address into the address bar. It came up with a page can not be found. I guess I'll try finding the manufacturer's website now.

"Edit" Ok I'm stuck, I can't think of anything else to try. Everything points to entering the IP address "http://192.168.2.1" into the address bar....but I get a "Page Can Not be Found" every time. Meh.

I have absolutely NO idea why they made it so complicated. I tried turning off my firewall, and it worked fine. Turned it back on and added Warzone 2100 to the exceptions list. Works fine. I could have done the ports instead, but that seemed like an extra step for the same results. Would doing the ports be safer?

Also, its a bit late, but do people still want to play a game? I could fit in one really short one.

Nevermind, its too late. I'll host tomorrow after Penguin is done(I won't be around till 11:30 GMT however).
