For heat, the Fans that the Ninja Gals you fight in attacks on the Narlocks(?) carry reduce the amount of stun from hot terrain if you have them in your inventory, AFAIK. Similar with cold and the Fancy Shawls you can make once you research... survival?

I've had a lot of success by using Furs for cold environs and Tribal Wear for hot ones. Even in extreme temperature conditions you'll take little to no stun damage.

Mind, these outfits make your morale decrease faster, so these are not perfect solutions, but they'll at least take temperature out of the equation.

I had gotten my hands on a map, and I set out to the mine, to get some money, and to fetch a ketter. It was dark, but I could probably get through the woods in one picpece. Just need to bypass these wolves and oh, look at that, they one-shotted me.

I was sniping at some raiders from a destroyed overpass when a vertibird decided it wanted in on the fun. Somehow, the raiders shot down the vertibird, sending it crashing into the river below. I didn't know if vertibirds actually had Brotherhood NPCs in them (and thus lootable corpses) but I was going to find out. However, the jump was way too high and I collapsed on impact.

Yes, they do in fact leave a corpse (the pilot) that can be looted, for completely dull basic gear.

Our Reinhardt had a plan on Volskaya Industries: Ride the floating platform in to point B with Mercy (myself) while the rest of the team pushed up the middle.

It goes pretty well. The enemy doesn't notice us until Rein charges down the center of the enemy team... all of whom get out of the way, leaving Rein to sail off a ledge to his death and myself defenseless in the center of the enemy team.

Snuck out of my base - built on the beach near the yacht - to gather some supplies from the plane crash site(which respawns every game load, including the stewardess' clothing if you took it off her). Coming back, I'm assaulted by three different parties of cannibals. After killing a few from the first group, I see the other two(I know it's two since one of the groups were blue-skinned) charging at me. My armor is spent and my health low, I try to run... and run right under one of my deadfall traps.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.  The Yiga clan hideout is really annoying because of the stealth element, and the Yiga swordsmen are scripted to one-shot you no matter how many hearts you have.

Mmhmm.  It's mercifully short at least, and it did feel good on my previous playthrough to get spotted and kill all of the Yiga clansmen anyway.  It involved a ton of bomb kiting, but I felt good killing them.
