I was meandering south of the wreck of the Aurora in my fresh new Seamoth.  The sun had just set, but with the glowing supply chests all about, I was still more or less fine with popping in and out to grab various stuff, and it wasn't like there was much life around.  Suddenly, while I was salvaging, a massive seasnake plows in out of the gloom right past me, giving me a nice view of teeth and grabby things, grabs my empty Seamoth, and swims off with it. 

After a moment's pause to try and parse what had just happened and how close I had just come to death, I started to try to swim back to base as fast as I could.  There were two of them.

Might as well turn a wrongpost into a realpost:

Something you don't realize while playing as Reimu is that Alice moves around a lot. Kinda sucks if you're trying to play Marisa. I lost a life less than a second before ending the fight, I hadn't even respawned when Alice died due to my projectiles that were still on-screen. It was so insulting that I didn't even feel like going on and just restarted.

OTOH, Marisa B has so much more DPS that spell cards are typically shorter, even with time spent not shooting because you gotta dodge.

Fallout 3. Good Karma ending. Not sure how the hell Rory got there, I left his ass before I went into Vault 87. And I still don't know what happened to Cross, she was right behind me coming out of 87.

Also screw the quest where you return to Vault 101. Pointless plot, and you still get a boot in the ass(by your Vault girlfriend no less!) at the end.

For Vault 101 they wanted to do the ending of Fallout 1 midway through the game with less memorable characters and reduced drama.

In Fallout 1 you spent the entire game saving your vault; getting exiled was a kick in the balls, played out by "Maybe" from the intro with a new double meaning. Very effective and emotional ending to the adventure.

In FO3 you were already banned from the vault, for one thing. They were crazy fascists and tried to kill you. Then you return to help them from the goodness of your heart, and they kick you out in return for solving a problem they could have probably handled themselves with superior numbers. Getting exiled from Vault 101 is just the smelly douchebags telling you you can't be in their lame clubhouse.

Funnily enough, the Fallout Wiki lists "Banishment from Vault 101" under the quest rewards for this.

I mean, depending on your companion at least. Charon is completely immune to radiation, and is also conditioned to follow any and all commands you give him - even if he wasn't immune you could order him into the chamber and he'd do it, the fact that he wouldn't be affected in the slightest is just a good karma bonus. Fawkes is completely immune to radiation, a fact that he had used to great effect earlier when advancing the plot to retrieve the GECK from an area of lethal radiation. The only reason they couldn't tackle the chamber in vanilla was because it'd spoil the impact of the ending - "self-sacrifice for the greater good" has less impact if you can totally mitigate it by reading a guide or getting lucky and bringing the correct follower.

And then Broken Steel means you live no matter what choice you make, which totally defeats the whole point of the original ending. At least you have the option to send the aforementioned followers into the chamber, which saves you spending a couple weeks unconscious after your not-so-lethal dose of radiation...

When your manufacturing and shipping capital is on a small island, reliant on a sizeable fleet of galleys to import supplies and export the resulting goods, it miiiiight be a good idea to build some more combat-focused ships for defense.

Particularly before declaring independence from Europe.

I have loads of guns and manpower... on the continent.  The expeditionary force knew better.  The fleet quickly bombarded my capital's walls into nothing, then overwhelmed the green defenders with massive waves of elite troops.  Then they pushed a few cities into the continent...  But between terrain bonuses, patriotism bonuses, and just having a veritable swarm of green infantry, I pushed them back into the sea.

At which point they apparently went "k" and camped out on my island, their warships hunting down my galleys and blockading my ports.  Their remaining land force is actually pretty tiny, I just can't get my army to it!  It's like if the British captured Cuba and considered that a win.  Which is the kicker- it's a fairly generous timer, but I need to wipe out the European forces or "lose".

I even managed to scrape together, via upgraded warehouses, enough gold to equip a ship-of-the-line.  Supposedly the best defensive ship in the game- oh, it died instantly.  Balls.  You know what, I'm declaring this a "draw".

Civilization 4:  Colonization

Planetside 2. Can someone confirm for me whether or not MAXes are even able to ride on a Harasser? I was pretty sure they could only ride Sunderers and Galaxies.

I underestimated the capabilities and armaments of a group of Gunners, and overestimated the protective powers of my awesome power armor. Also, I overestimated the reach of my Super Sledge and the amount of health I had. I was shot to pieces, but not before I murdered that asshole with the Missile Launcher.

The Alien UFO I'd damaged enough to make crash-land had no visible entrances.

Maybe installing XcomUtil when I already had a savegame from vanilla wasn't such a good idea...

For an actual death, a Sectoid showed up and killed a soldier in 1 hit. The Sectoid's own death followed after a cannon wielder shot it.

Can someone confirm for me whether or not MAXes are even able to ride on a Harasser? I was pretty sure they could only ride Sunderers and Galaxies.

They can sit on the rumble seat, and use their own weapons, but they can't drive or use the vehicle's weapon.
