I beat Crying Wolf. It was a long, difficult fight, long enough that the Solid Eye with three batteries actually died and I had to let it recharge. I also used a lot of rations, and had to buy more tranq darts before all was said and done. But I beat the fight, and felt quite accomplished afterwards.

Then the PS3 froze during Drebin's call. Wouldn't even turn off, I had to unplug it. Requiet in pace.

Mafia II was criticized for its lack of difficulty, among other things - cover protected the player quite well as long as they weren't flanked, and a large portion of lost health would regenerate. A single food item would likely restore all of the non-regeneratable health.

None of this matters if you're a freaking idiot like me who charges at people with shotguns.

Mafia II.

Trying to cross a bridge into the outskirts of the DC ruins. Bridge was mined. Started disarming my way across, still got blown up by one that was apparently invisible.

Fallout 3. After a few tries, I figured out it was one that was partially glitched under the asphalt. There were a few floating just a bit off the ground as well.

Possibly failed an optional portion of a quest because the quest target somehow got shot apart by a turret, despite turret ignoring everything else except me.

Fallout 3. The other two quest options were "fight Mirelurks" and "treat injuries", though I imagine one would follow after the other. Might be able to salvage it if I can find a wild Mole Rat, unless there was a quest script involved.

If you're talking about Moira's quests, I think you end up doing them all if you keep following the quest chain.

Last died:  An ork nob's attack pushed me over a one-foot ledge.  I think I ended up out of bounds, but maybe the orks just killed me (there were a lot, particularly those annoying missile-launcher ones).  Either way, suddenly died.

Alice took away my last lives.

By all rights I shouldn't have even gotten that far, I was playing terribly. But it seems like PCB is really generous with lives. I died to Chen and each of the Alice midbosses and still had three lives (counting 0) when I got to the real Alice fight.

But then it's more generous with letting you bomb after being hit (still tiny, but some leeway).

Death:  I wonder how many Skaarj were killed by doors when invading the ISV-KRAN.  Not that they do that much damage, but the surviving Skaarj had hurt me a lot...
