Etrian Odyssey Untold 1, classic mode.
Nearly managed to kill the Ragelope, but I wasn't able to bind it's legs so my damage output got spoiled by people getting confused all the time.

I installed a realistic ragdoll mod as part of rebuilding my Skyrim game, so I was tossing bandits off a cliff to see it in action.

I dragged a bandit corpse to the edge and tossed it over. Unfortunately, I stepped too far and ended up following it down the mountain.

I don't want to spoil much about the end of Metal Gear Revengeance, and don't get me wrong it's *awesome*, but... arghleblarg!  It's pulling some frustrating BS here at the end...  And I mean mechanically.  Story wise, it's stupid and ridiculous and just what I wanted.

But for instance, the red flashes which indicate a blockable attack...

• Mostly come at about the normal timing for a boss fight, so that's cool
• Except there's one that gives VERY little time.  No problem, just a reaction test, and feels good to block it anyway.  But it does mean that whenever I see the red flash, I immediately attempt to block (which involves letting go of the movement, then pointing movement at the enemy and tapping attack.  It's a little awkward)
• Then things get BS...  There are attacks which give the RED (not yellow) notification...  but are actually unblockable, you need to run...  they give relatively a lot of time, but it's still weird that the game gets it wrong.  So I end up trying to block them, then running, but usually I still get away.
• Of course, if I *don't*, they do between 20 and 60 percent of my health in damage
• One of said attacks covers a large part of the arena in flame, which he sometimes charges through at lightspeed.  Good luck seeing the block indicator through that.
• Also occasionally he follows up a punch with another punch which I'm almost positive doesn't have an indicator.  He does this with the initial ground pound too, I just have to guess or stay away.
• Then the part I haven't beat.  Once the boss is down about 20%, you have to slice a huge object coming at you.  Pretty standard?  NO, you have to cut along a specific line.  I am not a console gamer, this is almost impossible for me!!  In fact it seems like I have to aim the strike with the right joystickthingy, then press X without letting go of the thingy...  So I have to use my left hand basically (or do a perfect swipe in the opposite direction, which I simply can not do).  The aim is very precise, also
• But I did that once... OKAY DO IT AGAIN, but this time your swing is somehow offset a little??  OH TOO SLOW, INSTANT DEATH
• go back to the tricky part which took me about a dozen tries to initially get through
• also I have no health packs and none drop.  I'm HOPING the large objects will drop something, but... I don't know if I can handle these slices!

Oh also I have no idea how you're supposed to reliably avoid the foot-stompy in that other part.  Or the second stage of the wave motion cannon.

Yeah, the huge metal chunks always drop a bunch of nanopastes when you're through with them.

What difficulty are you playing on?

It's a legitimately tough boss fight. I could barely beat it on normal. Hate to try on the hardest difficulty.

That fight on the higher difficulties teaches you very well to avoid his attacks. And also teaches you how totally and unbelievably bull**** his lava rifts can be... nothing like getting trapped in a tiny pizza slice of terrain for the next attack.

At first I had a load of trouble with it, but after a while I got the hang of it. Except for the fucking bullshit debris. That's some crap, right there. Though punching the shit out of him is real fun.

Yeah, I really love the punching bits...  Plus there seemed to be one combo that does massive damage where you need to be disarmed?  Optional though.

I'm playing on normal, and... grumble-grumble, I'll beat it!  It's really the debris mechanic that's bothering me, I've gotten decent at the first part, so I guess I don't need nanohealingpaste if it's even possible to carry any to that stage.  It's a relief to hear the debris drops some though.

If you're playing on PC, I seem to remember hearing that there actually is an issue with the debris segments. You might want to look into that. If not just ignore me.
