Having fun so far? I've been playing the first few hours of the game for many years now, so I'm quite heartily sick of Peragus :P

I am entirely convinced the PC is a total goddamn moron. Even without having played the first game, it's pretty damn obvious what's going on, especially with that HK droid. Odd, since I think my Intelligence score is 13.

Then again, this is a galaxy where things like paper and railings don't exist.

The writing gets better later on, especially with restored content. Sadly, the combat remains a tedious slog the whole way through. It gets especially tedious near the end as the plot ramps up, so I recommend going full munchkin for maximum enjoyment. Look up build guides, if those exist for KOTOR2.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement of the game, is it? I honestly do quite enjoy the writing, though. Talk to all your companions as you gain influence with them; almost all of them have interesting stuff to offer, and most of the game's effort went in to them.

I'll be curious to hear your take on the game as it progresses!

Etrian Odessy Untold: the Millennium Girl.

I got wiped by a quest foe bear that does over 1k damage to an entire line. Pretty normal for Etrian really.

Try taking on the Baboon King as soon as you ge tthe quest. Went through two full cycles of Vanguard+improved Link, and didn't even take off a quarter of his health :P. He pounded me into oblivion not soon after

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

It took a surprising amount of time for me to lose, though I was pretty much set up for failure:
  • First time playing
  • On difficult
  • Ironman
And by Ironman, I mean HARDLOCKED IRONMAN.  The memory card we had didn't have enough space and we were too lazy to look for another, so I literally could not save the game.
At least I made it to like chapter 10 or so before we got fucked, though my friend managed to get us through another chapter or two before everyone died.

On the default sensitivity level, fighters turn maybe two degrees as I sweep the mouse across my desk like a lunatic. On the next sensitivity level up, they jerk all over the place and crash into the ground.

Star Wars: Battlefront (the old one). Although it's still fun, I'm appreciating the infantry gameplay more than vehicles.

Although the AI has all the intelligence and strategic thinking of a soft pile of feces, I do have to admit that they are much better shots than me. The AI also has the prescient ability to roll out of a grenade's way every. Single. Time.

Meanwhile, they have beautifully coordinated grenade throws, such that the corridor between the center platforms on Bespin becomes a cylinder of fire and death for several seconds. Adding insult to injury, it wasn't even the grenade that killed me most times; it was being blasted out of the window.

SW Battlefront the first, again.

Killed a whole shit ton of super mutants, only to go around a corner and see a yau gui stampeding towards me...

Unless you also technically call this a death.

I was building my farm area contently, minding my own business. Adding railings and plots, when suddenly. I remembered, wasn't there a big increase in population? And all my roads are dirt?

we saw a weapon chest behind a closed fence and looked for a way around, only to be met with invisible walls at all sides.
i suggested me jumping on my friends head to get on the roof of a small building to jump over the fence.
i jumped on his head, got up to the roof of the small building except it wasn't solid and i got stuck inside.
to add insult to injury, im fairly sure i would have been able to clip back out and into the area we had wanted to access if it hadn't been for a waist-high piece of cover sitting just next to the building...

The Republic's strength is their vehicles. The clones' individual infantry can't really go toe-to-toe with their CIS counterparts. The Jet Trooper can't match the Droideka for shit and the Clone Trooper is just a standard rifle guy, whereas the Super Battle Droid has a rifle AND an infinite shotgun AND a rocket AND extra health!

In exchange the Republic has the best vehicles in the game, including the Jedi Starfighter, their hovertank and their walker, all of which have the best weapons in both damage and functionality. There's one map where this breaks down though.

Yavin 4: Temple. The Republic's rather lame units, versus the droids. And the droids get tanks, while the clones do not.

The droid tanks quickly put us 60 points behind, so I just quit before I lost.

SW Battlefront.
