I mean, I've been assuming that's the case? I've only been playing this game for like 2 days. I've never seen anyone try to seduce my goblin, but whether that's because he has mind control immunity or because he's a crazy theocratic monster is open for debate.

I would assume that it's mind control too. All I know is that the Elven unit that has that ability is called the Nymph - and she's not really a mythical creature(compared to the rest of her race), she just dresses really slutty. I also remember that the original sprite for her in AoWII, she had one breast exposed, and some moral guardians flipped their shit over it. Like, seriously, four pixels that sorta looked like nipple.

As for my death, I had to fly an RC plane to take out several different vehicles. This damn thing is impossible to fly. I had an easier time flying the Dodo from GTA3 than I did with this, no lie. I somehow reach the third vehicle and start opening up. One dude points a micro-SMG out the window, *pop*, the plane explodes, mission failed.

And all this just after doing a mission that stole all my weapons.

I reloaded my Operation Flashpoint save after many months of not playing, to find myself stuck on a mission called "Guardian". My objective: protect the world's dumbest ammunition convoy using the world's slowest M113.

At one point, the convoy comes to a crossroads. There's a longer northern path that is seemingly unoccupied, and a shorter path that leads through two towns held by friendly forces. I lead the convoy through the short path.

There's two small ambushes in between the first town and the second, one of which involves an AT soldier. I take them out through judicious use of savescumming, then roll the convoy into the second friendly town.

A fucking tank rolls down the road, obliterates half the convoy with one shell, then turns and vaporizes my Bradley with another. FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

After reloading and dealing with the two ambushes again, I order the convoy to hold back and speed ahead into the town. This time I reach it before the tank gets there. I order everyone out of the Bradley and start watching the road... but the tank never arrives.

BOOM. A building collapses, and the tank rolls in from the east entrance. By the time somebody managed to take out the T72, my entire squad was gone except for the corpsman.

Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis. Or ARMA: Cold War Assault, if you prefer.

Was meant to be ambushing a convoy, and due to a mixture of bad placement on my part and some pretty stupid AI, I ended up dying. With every attempt. I've stopped now to try and re-evaluate the thing, but it was pretty frustrating at the time.

Had a particularly rough game against a Chaos team in multi.  Early in the match my Kroxigor was almost killed by a particularly unlucky double skulls roll, then a particularly unlucky armor break, then a particularly unlucky injury roll. (quick  calculation using an online calculator gives this about a 0.8% chance of happening). Fortunately my apothecary managed to bring him back from the dead.  But this colored the rest of the match.

My opponent managed to injure my team pretty much the entirety of the rest of the match, while I was lucky to even get a stun in.  To my dismay yet another player on my team died.  This one sadly more valuable to the team than the krox that my apothecary saved. A level three saurus with block and break tackle.  Unfortunately since I already used the apothecary to save the Krox I could not use it again. He will be missed dearly.  Next up was a skink that permanently lost armor value from a team reroll that ended up worse than the original result (hey he rolled a 1 and tripped trying to run that one extra space, want to use one of your 5 rerolls?  Oh I'm sorry he rolled a 1 again, and this time he landed on his head...), and my team leader that got a pinched nerve which fortunately isn't permanent but makes him miss the next game.

I did end up winning the match though somehow...my opponent didn't seem very good at protecting his ball carrier. But the most valuable player experience went to my DEAD GUY.  And then the winnings roll went bad too giving me the bare minimum possible.  I rerolled that....and still bare minimum.

My next match is almost a guaranteed loss since I'm going to be down 3 players, and I didn't make enough cash in winnings to replace even 1/4th of a player.

Bloodbowl 2.

EDIT: Next match, my team had 1 more death (fortunately a lv 1 nobody) a skink with a concussion and my krox got a pinched nerve.  I think I might put the game down for a few days until Nuffle forgets whatever I did to anger him.  I did however manage to force a draw and didn't lose.

Nearly foaming at the mouth, screaming in rage at this mission. I try to take off from level ground, but the plane decides "NOPE, DO A BARREL ROLL!!". One attempt, I have only one target left, but no fuel to reach him. I guess his travel route, and land at a likely spot. Turns out I was correct, so I move forward for the kill. The plane decides "NOPE, SELF-DESTRUCT! YOU SUCK!"

Use LCTRL to fire the gun instead. It makes it very easy when you can taxi behind the cars and fire your guns easily.

Figured it out. Instead of the mouse to control pitch/roll, I used the arrow keys. Goddamn that made it easier. And I'm pissed because of that.

Turns out, tanks are not as dumb when they're NPCs. Not only can they aim at a helicopter, they have such deadly precision that they can score a direct hit on the cockpit from 300+ meters away with the machine gun, instantly killing me.

That sounds unlikely. I've rarely had tanks fire on me in helicopter. Unless ARMA:CWA is an updated version of OPF:CWC that changes the AI behavior.

Set up a 2v2v2 match with bots, thinking my ally would make it easier to mop up the map.
Anyone who's played RTS with an AI ally can probably guess how that worked out...

I had no idea it was coming, either.  I actually eliminated one AI, and was bearing down on an AI from the other enemy team, when both enemy teams sent forces at my base.  They fought each other some, but were mostly happy to tear down my towers together.  By the time my army returned, I had lost several production buildings.

On the plus side they were finally fighting each other.  My army was mostly ranged, so I mopped up both sides without major casualties...  Except bam, another wave just as large.  With cavalry and ranged units making retreat impossible.

Well, for my army.  My "hero" is a cowardly lizard merchant.  Very high dexterity and charisma.  My snehkpriests made them pay for every inch as my hero fled across the map, to my ally.

Fortunately I still had all my resources, and even had possession of the mines still.  My hero began building a new temple-stronghold next to a couple of friendly towers.  As I waited, I noticed...  My ally had like 8 unit production buildings...  But almost no units.

Cue the united enemy army swarming over the horizon.  The towers were down in seconds - clearly my ally had not been attacked at all this game.  Nor had bothered to produce an army.  My hero fled to the other side of my ally's sprawling, completely undefended base.

The enemy army, having bashed down my ally's towers, razed out my fresh temple-stronghold...  Then *left*.  Not deigning to destroy or convert any of its buildings.  Seconds later, it attacked the other side of my ally's base...  The side I had fled too.  Suuuuch cheating!

Technically I didn't die, I resigned.  Which actually meant I got to keep the loot in my backpack, and avoided a hefty experience penalty.  The game granted bonus XP for the high AI difficulties I'd set, and how long the round had lasted, not to mention all the XP for actions/kills I'd gained.  So while I was defeated by filthy cheating AI and a braindead AI ally, I still gained a level.

Another point in dexterity and in running ;D

Nope, it was a custom mission I made. They were T80s. I was flying fairly low though.

Yeah, ARMA:CWA is a mega-patch by Bohemian that updates a number of things about the original Operation Flashpoint. It also removes the Codemasters-developed Red Hammer expansion, if present.

But the most valuable player experience went to my DEAD GUY.

Man, I hate that. It's even worse than when it goes to a merc or Star Player.

My commandos are usually pretty good about knowing when and when not to fire. Weapons-free, they'll pick off soldiers at 200 meters or so, but ignore the trucks, APCs and official cars passing on the nearby road.

Except when I finally reach some sort of fueling station, they decide to pick on a truck that's being escorted by two BMPs. We survived about ten seconds longer.

ARMA:CWA.

EDIT:

I accidentally told some guys to get out of their tank, and then I ordered them back into the wrong tanks. This completely broke their AI and they simply stood in place, unable to continue on or follow orders.

ARMA again.

I hate lost souls.  hate them, HATE!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Do far to much damage at my difficulty level, can hide anywhere, are silent except when you're about to lose 20 health, and can snipe you from across the map.  Multiple charges per burst and they block retreat with their burning faces.  And theyre suprisingly tough.
