I was on the way to win the game after a spectacularly lucky run, waiting outside Stonehenge and farming the suicide minigame for sanity (I was out of drugs or I would have used those). Then the game crashed. At least the save wasn't corrupted or anything like that.

Also, I reloaded the game, and the suicide minigame was suddenly much, much harder. It caught me by surprise and I wasn't able to do anything. Welp, that's another almost-win down the toilet, but at least I unlocked the Warrior.

I actually have Project Nevada, but it basically seems like a combination of Jean-Baptiste having ungodly HP, and I almost want to say my crit didn't do extra damage.

My gunner got knocked out, I managed to survive long enough for him to wake up. He got knocked out again, immediately. Then my vertical turret drive was damaged once he woke up. We fixed that, and drove forward about 7 feet before a track was broken by artillery. We fixed that and then got destroyed.

Also, I inexplicably hate when video games defy the "headshot with no/flimsy helmet is death" rule, even though in the case of Fallout it would actually be Super Cheese: The Game.

Reminds me of that odd single player Counter Strike campaign.
There was this boss who stood frozen behind a church pulpit and took what felt like over twenty AWP headshots.
Uninstalled for good.

I don't remember any damage sponge bosses in condition zero, but it's been long enough that I want to replay and see.
Though the first level was pretty tedious.  Also...  wow, most people here would probably consider it amazingly offensive.

1)Fell into a koi pond in the backyard and promptly went soggy.
2) Fell an inch short of the skateboard and couldn't get up on time
3) Fell into the pond
4) Fell into the pond
5) Fell into the pond
6) Fell between two garbage cans
7) Fell into the pond
8) Impaled myself on a sunflower and couldn't get off until I broke the entire plant and fell into the pond, sunflower and all

Felt like checking my Steam. A special someone progressed my HL2 into...what seemed to be a very scary and dilapidated town area.
I met headcrabs again. I met headcrabs able to travel on the walls. Black headcrabs which screech and scuttle. Headcrabs which are somewhat cute as they try to lunge at you.
Many headcrabs -_-
Much fun.
Died by accidentally walking into one.

Ravenholm was the best, because its the area designed specifically for the Gravity Gun, which is hella cool.

Half Life 1 started as a horror game and turned into an action movie.  Half Life 2 started as a dystopian thriller, turned into a horror game, and then turned into a horror game with you as the villain.  Then went back to dystopian thriller.

I didn't particularly like Ravenholme, perhaps it was the lack of any clear indicators whatsoever first time around so I ended up walkig around a dark and decidedly unscary without those zombie bastards for what felt like an hour.
In fact I don't have many good experiences with the Half-Life series in general.

I found HL held up really well and HL 2 didn't age that greatly.  But the scenes where you're using the bugbait to guide the swarm are some of the most fun I've ever had with video games.
