No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Started a new game, the shelter happens to be somewhat near an anthill.

I break open a window for parts, and a soldier ant climbs in. I go up to fight it with my baton (I started as a security guard) and the starting NPC decides to help me. With a molotov. Multiple, in fact.

You didn't last long, [guy's name], but at least you went out in a blaze of betrayal.

Sorry, Cataclysm DDA

If you're not willing to shell your own position, you're not willing to win. The NPC is just willing to win.

Schlock Mercenary reference?

I've been playing Hotline Miami 2's hard campaign.  I like someone's theory that Richter starts levels with an uzi in HM1 due to all the absolutely unfair level starts he has in HM2.  Like he got sick of being unprepared and getting greeted by hordes of enemies right at each door.  Particularly heavy enemies immune to melee, and pouncing dogs immune to punches.  Even worse since once you manage to scavenge some shmuck's gun, it has so few bullets because of hard mode.  Good job punching that guy and grabbing his shotgun, you now have three shots!  And that heavy enemy will *completely absorb* one of them!  And you can't go back outside or retreat down the stairs because f u that's why.

Edit:  I didn't actually mention Richter's name, just said "he".  Whoops.

Not quite a death, but I decided on a whim to explore the isolated villages along the coastline. Oooh, random barrel. So I loot it, because it was a container out in public, so it's not stealing, right?
Nope, the village decided I had committed theft and called the guards. So, I pay the fine and have the stolen goods removed.

Wait, where are my enchanted swords? Oh, yeah. I stole those earlier, from Vivec. Damn. Reload.

Wait, what do you mean my last save was in that dwemer ruin I was exploring an hour ago? Did I really not save since then?

God damn it.  >:(

While the first game was grindy and unfair, it was at least satisfying to overcome the initial challenge and get into a stable rhythm of grind-upgrade-boss-grind. THIS game on the other hand is basically luck. You start with two healing items. You have to grind to around level 8 or so and beat a boss before you can buy more. So the very first section of the game is an endurance challenge combined with random bullshit, like missing five attacks in a row. I died many times due to missing an attack for no reason, or randomly failing to run away from an encounter.

Five Nights at Fuckboy's 2, an insane RPG fan game of Five Nights at Freddy's 2. Despite the title, it is not pornographic. :P

After a huge increase in the fatality rates of COONT-5 victims, almost the entire world's population was eradicated, except for New Zealand. They became the bastion of humanity, stopping the disease early and having all the infected die off, so there were ~700,000 healthy humans left alive to rebuild.

COONT-5 failed to kill all of mankind.

Best way to win with bacteria is to NOT kill anyone at first. Focus on spreading to every corner of the world and delete symptoms as they mutate randomly. Once every nation in the world in infected, go nuts. You'll probably be detected before you can reach global saturation, but cure research should be manageable.

Since I'm used to being on either a Red or Blue team, I thought that picking the red-colored guys meant that the players with blue markers were my enemies. I end up spending an entire match shooting at my teammates (impervious to friendly fire, thankfully) and being killed from all directions by enemies that I thought were my allies.

As a coronary to this, the air and water transmission upgrades are extremely effective for stealth infection.  They increase infectiousness but don't increase mutation chance.  So if you don't take any other transmission upgrades, you won't have to pay increasingly large amounts to devolve symptoms.  Well I mean you will, but the disease will mutate so rarely that it doesn't matter.

On harder difficulties, you can't allow to wait till everyone (or every single country) is infected, you'll have to start slowly killing before that to gain enough DNA. And there's an element of chance, so even a good strategy won't always work.

I've beaten most diseases on hard, by the way.
