That is literally the only situation in the entire game where you can get bifurcated with a portal. And you managed to die there.
Gg itis. G fucking g.

I'm sure Aperture Science appreciated my contribution to portal technology! :P

Let's stare into the mirror of violent death. What could possibly go wrong?

I am desperadly trying to convice my D&D group to do a fallen london/sunless sea RPG, since none of them know it and half the stories are already perfect for it anyway.
I'm actually running one on here already. The storylets format of the game translate very well to Fate sessions.

I didn't know you could kill yourself in such a manner. Well done, I guess.

Got jumped by a Blade of Crota and  promptly 'sploded as I was pinned between it and a Vandal Captain.

I answered a distress call and started fighting a Borg cube with a whole bunch of other ships. Normally, being caught in a ship's explosion isn't that big of a deal; however, this Cube was massive and took several players to beat, and I was right next to it when it exploded. Instantly blown up.

It was the area where you have to crouch and stand through a portal to reach the other side of some obstacle. Half of my body was on one side and half on the other when I accidentally clicked, closing the portal that I was partway through.

This is exactly why the portal gun needs a safety trigger.

...Yep, Portal. Not Portal 2. That's the part where you escape post-"baking" :P
That was a nice hydraulic map.

Also...I'm unsure if I should put it here but I died in tears (figuratively) after finishing the ending of Portal 2.

I mean, the turret-verse was in Italian (as far as my foreign knowledge can detect...in the tone of Opera Singing), sure, and you should know GlaDoS' wordplay enough to obviously see through her lines (or...just read the credits as-is) and wow. The meaning in between the lines is awesome. The meaning deeper through the lines makes it awesome.

Age of Shadows start, I quickly build a spaceport and a few troops and say F you to the initial pirate raid, and my starport is built quickly enough it fends it off without them launching troops. So far so good, I explore my system, grab the free abandoned frigate, and am looking good to carry through to warp drives when it seems the pirates find a friggin abandoned CRUISER and take it over, which I find out when it warps into my system and proceeds to pwn everything I have and continues to do so, preventing me from building back up. I just quit in disgust.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

I hate those pirates, I really do. Forget other empires, even the hostile ones tend to back off if you swing a big enough stick at them. But the pirates, I spend hours setting up long-range sensor nets to try and find their bases, but it's never enough.

Feels fantastic if you find an ancient ship with a HyperDeny and have it parked at a system they attack, though.

MOTHERFUCKER IT HAPPENED AGAIN, this time jumping in their resupply ship-which, since resupply ships are built according to base rules and not ship rules, means it's approximately 9 times as big as any military ship I can currently build and almost as fucking big as the fucking starting SPACEPORT. What the actual fuck?!

One thing I've learned about playing through this game again is that if I recognize the dialogue at the start of the mission, then I'm in for a bad time.

"I've missed you, kiddo, since you've joined the Rebellion."

Cue five or six minutes of boring minesweeping followed by swarms of miniscule 1hp targets attacking my 1hp escort quest. FUUUUU-

Back on that PvP quest, way late at night so that I don't get instantly rekt by high-level Klingon players. It turns out, there's actually a lot more Borg on the map than is apparent at first glance. And the Cubes (basically a signal that you can't win this fight and to come back with help) wake up once you start capturing objectives... provided you even get close to the objectives, since they're surrounded by 5+ Borg probes accompanied by a Sphere. And asking for help is difficult when you can't zone chat until you reach a certain level.

Damn it. Just, damn it. Last boss of the Claptastic Voyage. I've been fighting (without dying) the bastard for one straight hour (at least!) because it just has so much health, and I die in the final stretch, so I have to do it all over again. Yeah, no. Taking a break.

Self-immolated my fleet using area weapons-against a pirate base that had about 1/4 the total collective firepower of my fleet. The only damage the pirate base basically did was using tractor beams to pull my ships into my own weapons' area of effect  :'(

Playing a moba heroes of the storm.  I hate most mobas but friend gave me a free beta key, so whatever, worth a shot.  We lose a skirmish on the bottom lane, me and my friend bail when it becomes a 4v2, we're both low on health, there's a tower near but no actual walls and the enemy is faster.  My friend behind me drops, and they are coming at me, I run by a health fountain and grab it, to try to extend my hp.  I also throw some kind of ice snare behind me to try to snare them, since there is no way in hell I'm outrunning them all the way back to base.  I don't make it.

Then I get chewed out for turning around to throw attacks and stopping.  I'm sorry, but on my screen I grabbed the health fountain while moving, and the only attack I made was my ice block to try to snare the players who were obviously gaining on me.  The nearest safety was a screenlength away, and even then there was nothing there to prevent a towerdive.  I'm sorry but what exactly was I expected to do?  Keep running and NOT do anything to try to extend my life?

I hate mobas.
