Have you been leveling up Nephenee? At least in my run, she surpassed Brom in pretty much every way possible. I eventually just dropped the knight and went with her instead :v

Well, my comment stands. Brom is okay for taking hits, but Nephenee is a better overall fighter and her DEF can get as high or higher than Brom's. Plus she has Wrath for murdering fools. I've held off entire reinforcement waves with her alone.

No no no, I was taunting the guys above me with the nearly-perfect Nino, silly. XD
Of course, they were talking about a different game, but that's merely a detail.

That unit could alllmost (though not quite) take out the rest of the game after I got her to that point. Of course she didn't die. >_>
There was one or two poinst that she nearly died, though. I think she got cut off from the main group and surrounded by Pegasus Knights if I remember correctly.
The other time was the dragon... Stupid dragon. She ended up tanking it for some reason. I think it was just scared.
If I remember correctly she solo'd Nergal, as well. Maybe a liiiittle help...

Hmm... Do you have Skype? I could send you the save file via that. Though the game's at Epilogue point, so all you'd be able to do is look at all of my unit's final stats in the arena viewer. xD
Actually, I think I ended up focusing waaaay too much on Nino come the end. My main party seemed to be around the 9-13 promoted level, Fiora was 17 'cause I think she's awesome, and Nino was at... 20. >_>

Heh... Nino + Alfafa's Drops + literally all the experience points remaining in the campaign? Nasty combo right there. Of course, the ending description will assume she's still just a cute little apprentice mage, rather than the single most powerful sage on the entire continent.

Doing pretty well with my mental mutant. Clear the Rust Wells without trouble, kill a legendary equimax and two slumberlings along the way without even once being in any real danger.
Walk down the stairs into redrock for the quest. I fall into some slime, which slides me to the left two tiles, and takes up two of my turns. During that time: My evil twin which just spawned hits me for ~30 damage with lasers, I slide over a young ivory, which stabs me in the food and causes bleeding for 10 damage +2 per turn, and I get caught and held by a qudaz plant. So, on my first action: I have 4 hp, am bleeding, held, and within sight of my evil twin that can shoot lasers through my forcefield (which if I activated would stop neither being held now the bleeding). Oh joy.

I proptly die the next turn as the plant holding onto me beats me to death.

Caves of Qud. I could have survived any two of those three without difficulty, and any 3 of those 4 with decent luck, but all 4 of those at once was really unfair.

As I traveled to a camp to rid the local populace of the goblin menace, a wrestler decides to punch me in the throat, which then explodes into gore for whatever reason. I make a futile attempt to behead the sumbitch, but ultimately fail and bleed to death through my exploded throat.

I wonder if you'd been able to fast travel could you have healed the throat.

Edit: Actually, I doubt it. Bleeding prevents Fast Travel, forgot that, and I assume the "bleeding" writing was on the screen when you had an exploded throat

Getting her to that point is harder than beating the game.

All was going well. The seraphim had been defeated early on and I was able to maintain a good amount of defence despite having attacks coming from left and right.

I had been building Monkeylords to assault enemy bases. 4 plus a crab walker had taken out one Aeon player and I was gearing up to assaulting the second Aeon to my left.

Having zoomed right in, I was laying out an area of mass and energy generators in preparation for further hiking my production up when, from up high, a Czar air-crashed directly onto my Commander, taking it out along with my production area for the second time that game.

Since the game had been going for about 2 hours at that point I decided that I'd had enough and hit the red X.

"Fast" speed in KQ1 means "jump to lightspeed when you gently brush the arrow key". I went across 3 screens in the blink of an eye, got intercepted by a grey blob (I guess it was the wolf) and died. Hooray for modern processor speeds!
